Punch my buck tab for the first time in a few years. 🤘🪽🏹🦌
It felt like the Brewer’s 9th inning having to win twice… my cousin ended up shooting this buck a half hour before me. Liver shot and the blood trail ran dry 200 yards before it got to me. Came in grunting and ready to kick another 8pt’s butt.
My first shot was high but the follow up was right in the boiler room! 20 yards later, he fell and I had my first deer on our family’s original 33 acres with it sight of “old camp” where they originally stayed. It was a roller coaster for a few hours but I am glad to have him down with my Trinity!
Bowhunting has so many highs and lows… We put so much into this sport in so many levels… I know my grandparents were looking down today following events and were happy with how it all played out. Keep on pushing if you still have a tag to fill! If all happened in seconds after a quiet morning sit.
