I'm horrible about remembering to get pictures and videos, I suppose i just focus on getting the work done, especially when I was absolutely pouring sweat. That being said, I needed to move 1 treestand, set a ground blind and refresh cameras with batteries today. I did remember at the very end to get 1 good picture of the new stand position with a heavy daily use deer trail to the 9 o'clock, 12 o'clock and another one at 6 o'clock position from being seated in the stand. Soon we'll take practice shots with the bow and fine tune em and before you know it, it'll be go time!!

Good morning everyone! Just wanted to make sure everyone knew we will be sending out texts to confirm with our clients that the preferences are the same as last year, whether that be full permission, retrieve only, or retrieve only on a contact every time basis. The season begins October 3rd this year so we gotta get to work ASAP to move 1 stand and pop a blind up somewhere. Well we did a couple mornings of fishing in two different spots this week. With the lake level being incredibly low, it's made for some hard fishing. Surprisingly on two separate days, I didn't catch not one fish. My boys on the other hand, day one they got nothing but day 2 they burned up the bluegill and my oldest caught a whopper. These are the times the boys will remember when I'm gone, and I love that fact. Special thanks to our friends that let us fish this week, we truly value your friendship and support.

We've been quiet since the season ended, but don't think that means We've been idle doing nothing. The week of june 22nd I'm taking off work all week and planning on fishing at least one day that week. Some of our favorite clients (and dare I say friends as well) allow us to fish as well as hunt on their property. So with that, if you're reading this and you wouldn't mind us fishing during that week, certainly feel free to comment here, or reach out to me so we know we're welcome. We always tell folks at least a couple days in advance before we come and we're usually early morning maybe 7 am to 10 am kinda fishermen. All that being said, fishing content coming soon! Been meaning to make this post for a while, and things have just been busy so I apologize for the delay. For those that may have not received a text as notification, I had intentions to hunt the late urban archery season that extends until the end of March, however I had been sick consistently throughout January and February. I made the decision that it's best for my health, and the health of the team to just hang the season up.

We as a team would like to thank all of our clients, as well as followers for supporting us and we look forward to an always improving of seasons over the years. We'll be fishing soon, we've got some clients that allow us to fish and we thank them for that. All this being said, yall will be seeing us real soon, just not in camo, in shorts and flashy UV shirts lookin like we know what we're doin....even if we don't.

I love what I do, but sometimes these work days are back breaking. Started at 7 am and just finished at 4:30. Only took just over an hour of a break throughout the entire day. Ended up with 25 pounds of burger, four 9x13 pans full of jerky meat marinating. Sidenote....thats probably only half of the meat I have in the freezer, but I figured that was a good start on processing.

Its really been a great season. Today is the last day of the regular season, and then we move into urban archery that extends to the end of March. Adding another doe to the list this morning brought me to 12 for this season. It's been full of ups and downs, a couple times I shouldn't have taken the shot, tons of super exciting moments, overall just blessed. Here's number 12.

Shot this big 8 about 5:15 but I had to wait for a response from 2 different property owners before I could track and recover. Fortunately they both said go find him, and I did. I knew the shot was lethal when I squeezed, I just didn't know how much will to survive he had. Good news is, he didn't go horribly far and recovery was a breeze. Biggest buck I've shot in 3 years, super happy on this one.

Even though the weekend was unsuccessful, it was still a good weekend to be out there! Set a ground blind in a decent spot today and I got to play Andy clause too! We sure do love our clients, they're so much more than just some folks that let us hunt.
