Freshman Huck McLaulin attended the Super 32 Georgia Early Entry Tournament this weekend! 💪

With wrestlers representing 13 states, Huck battled through a loaded field, picking up three wins against tough competition.

A great weekend of experience for a freshman competing on a big stage and plenty more to come! 🔥⭕️

Stay tuned as some of our Social Circle wrestlers get ready to head to the Grappler this month and Super 32 in October, and then, we will head into the much anticipated school season! 💪🏻

We love seeing our teachers show up for our wrestlers! ❤️🖤
A huge shoutout to our Ag teachers for making these awesome big heads for the wrestlers they teach. It means so much to our athletes to know the people who support them in the classroom are cheering them on outside of it, too!

One thing we really emphasize in Social Circle FFA is being a well-rounded and involved student. We want our members to take advantage of everything FFA has to offer, but we also want them to explore their other interests and talents.

We’re fortunate to have great relationships with the coaches and club sponsors at SCHS. We work together to make sure our students don’t feel like they have to choose. They can be involved in FFA while also being athletes, musicians, club members, and more.

Last night, we were proud to support three of our FFA members as they received their State Wrestling Championship rings!

Being a state champion takes a lot of hard work, dedication, and commitment, and these three do a great job representing Social Circle on the mat, in the classroom, and in our FFA chapter.

Congratulations, Cohen, Gable, and Walker! We’re proud of you and all that you’ve accomplished!

Our 2025–26 Individual State Wrestling Champions were recognized at Friday night’s football game and received some well-earned hardware! 🔴⚫️

🏆 Dane Kracht — captured his second state title and is now continuing his wrestling career at Reinhardt University.
🏆 James Sievers — senior and 3X State Champion, looking to make it FOUR this season.
🏆 Cohen Hargrove — senior and 2X State Champion, looking to make it three this year
🏆 Gable Hargrove — senior and 2X State Champion, looking to make it three this year
🏆 Walker Woodard — claimed his first State Championship last season as a freshman

Five champions. Five rings. A whole lot of work represented in each one.

Congratulations, guys! The hardware looks good on you. 🏆

A handful of Social Circle high school wrestlers competed in the Backyard Brawl in Atlanta this weekend. This tournament drew some outstanding wrestlers from all over the country. ⭕️🔥

Upcoming Freshman Huck McLaulin competed on the MS Backyard Brawlers team that placed 2nd.
Upcoming Sophomore Walker Woodard and upcoming Senior Daniel Passmore competed on the HS Backyard Brawlers team that placed 3rd.
Upcoming Seniors Gable and Cohen Hargrove wrestled on a HS Morris Fitness team that won the tournament. 🥇🏆

There’s something about wrestling boys.

Maybe it’s the countless hours spent in the hot, unforgiving wrestling room, drilling the same move over and over until muscle memory kicks in. Maybe it’s the miles they run, the weight they cut, the meals they pass up, and the sacrifices they make that no one ever sees.

Maybe it’s something that can only be felt deep in your heart as you watch them walk to the center circle, shake hands with their opponent, and battle with everything they have. There are no teammates to hide behind. No timeouts to catch their breath. No one to blame and no one to bail them out. Just six minutes, one opponent, and every ounce of heart they have.

Maybe it’s the bruises, busted lips, black eyes, sore shoulders, and aching knees they wear like badges of honor. Maybe it’s the discipline they build by showing up every single day even when they’re exhausted, frustrated, or defeated.

Maybe it’s when they raise their hand or quietly walk off the mat knowing they’ll be back to work tomorrow.

Because wrestling doesn’t just build champions. It builds young men who know how to work when no one is watching, stay humble in victory, stand tall in defeat, and keep fighting when life gets hard.

There’s something about wrestling boys.
