As you may know, every year I like to post a free pattern or tutorial showing how to make an item that's useful and practical. What better day than Black Friday to make a home made gift for someone!
This year's project is a roll with a cloth napkin for carrying your own portable utensils, and avoid just a little more single-use plastic. If you have fabric left over from making face masks, this is a great way to use some of it!

This handy little bag is easier to make than you might think! I'll be giving a free online presentation on how to make it on Thursday, May 21 hosted by Charles River Wheelers.
If you don't get a chance to shop for materials, I'll show you how to make one with stuff you probably already have around the house.
More details about the project and what you need can be found here:

Designed to get you from zero to a finished project right away, and it’s the perfect time of year to keep your ears warm too.
Use it yourself, or include it in a knitting kit for a friend who wants to learn!

I'm thinking about what project to do for this year's free tutorial. Any requests? What would you like to learn how to do or make?
