SYHA and the City of Somerville are calling all girls ages 5–14!

Whether you're stepping onto the ice for the very first time or you already love the game, come join us for a fun-filled week of hockey, new friends, and skill-building.

Here's what we've got lined up:

📍 Veterans Memorial Rink

⭐ Special guest alert! Our August 13–14 sessions will welcome a special guest skater from Harvard Women's Hockey or the Boston Fleet. A fantastic chance for our girls to meet a role model and learn from the best! 💜

Age 5 - 13

✨ No experience necessary
✨ No equipment required
✨ Open to all girls ages 5–14

🏒 Exciting news for Somerville Youth Hockey! 🏒

We're incredibly proud to share that SYHA has been awarded a 2026 Tufts Community Grant! 🎉

A huge thank you to Tufts University for investing in our community and believing in our mission. We're honored to be one of 40 local nonprofits selected this year as part of a record $200,000 awarded to organizations making a difference across our region.

This grant will help us continue growing girls hockey at SYHA by providing every girl on a travel team with:
🏒 Girls-only clinics and development opportunities
❤️ SYHA gear and swag
🤝 More opportunities to build friendships, confidence, and a lifelong love of the game

This recognition belongs to our entire SYHA community. Thank you to every player, family, coach, volunteer, and supporter who gives their time and energy to make our organization so special.

The Twin City Titans battled hard last weekend in Lake Placid and brought home the SILVER 🥈

From the first puck drop to the final buzzer, this team showed grit, heart, and true sportsmanship.
We even heard from scorekeepers that our players were a class act on and off the ice — doesn’t get better than that.
