Mechanics Breakdown 🔑 🏆…..

1️⃣ Starting Position: This includes getting set up to follow all pitching rules/regulations. Each pitchers startup may look different and that’s perfectly okay!

2️⃣Load: The load consists of getting the weight loaded back and into the ground to be able to explode out towards the catcher. Remember the better the load , the more force coming off the mound, the harder the pitch comes in!

3️⃣Drive/Power K: I would argue the most important part of our pitch! This segment includes driving the back leg up and out to get to our power K postion , opening up the body and creating a proper arm path. This is key to success in your pitch delivery!

4️⃣Release/Finish: Lastly , our hand follows alongside our body releasing right at the hip, with proper excelleration/whip the hand stays loose and follows through overtop of the ball. In addition the body becomes stacked during the finish with everything in line. The most important factor to success in this part of the pitch is staying loose and finishing those hips through!

Mechanics are the core foundation of our pitch. With this being said , we can never work on them too much and it is essential for pitchers of every age to never give up on this part. Speed will come , but only once this is mastered. Remember everyone’s bodies will look slightly different , dont overthink it, work hard, and never give up ladies !!

Another day of your girls absolutely crushing my 100 pitch challenge 💪🥎 and a HUGE shoutout to Adalyn for completing it in under 15 minutes!! I always encourage the girls to get this challenge done as quickly and efficiently as possible to help build endurance and strength and she absolutely killed it!!
