Our LTFA players had the opportunity to walk out with the Lake Tahoe Community College Men’s Soccer team before kickoff — a special moment for our young players and our fútbol community here in Tahoe.

These are the moments that go beyond training. Giving our kids something to look forward to, players to look up to, and a pathway they can see for themselves.

Great week at the Double Scissors Soccer Camp in Truckee! ⚽️

This was my second summer coaching at the camp alongside Stefan. While Double Scissors has been around for many years, this was the 4th summer bringing the camp to Truckee, and it was another awesome experience.

A huge thank you to all the players for showing up ready to learn, compete, and have fun. And thank you to all the parents for trusting us with your athletes throughout the week.

Grateful to be part of an incredible coaching staff and excited for many more summers ahead! 💙⚽️

Throughout the week, our 2015/2016 group was challenged through technical exercises, decision-making activities, and competitive small-sided games inspired by the renowned Benfica Youth Academy methodology.

Every session emphasized developing confident players who can solve problems, compete with intensity, and most importantly, enjoy the game

⚽️ The future of the game starts with the youngest players.

What an incredible week at the 2026 Benfica Soccer Camp hosted by Lake Tahoe Fútbol Academy here in beautiful South Lake Tahoe.

Our youngest campers embraced every challenge with energy, curiosity, and a love for the game. From technical ball mastery to decision-making and confidence on the ball, every session was built around creating a positive learning environment where players could grow.

One of the things that makes Benfica’s youth development so respected around the world is its emphasis on strong technical foundations, creativity, decision-making, and developing intelligent players who enjoy the game. It was a privilege to bring elements of that methodology to our community and watch these young athletes improve throughout the week.

A huge thank you to all of the players, families, coaches, and staff who made this camp such a success. The future of soccer in Lake Tahoe is bright, and we’re excited to continue helping these players develop both on and off the field.

This summer, Lake Tahoe Fútbol Academy proudly hosted our first-ever International Soccer Camp, welcoming coaches from all the way from Portugal to South Lake Tahoe.

Watching our players learn from an internationally recognized club, challenge themselves, and create lifelong memories made this experience truly special.

A huge thank you to .soccer (Coach Machado) for believing in our vision and helping make this opportunity possible. Your mentorship, support, and connections continue to create incredible opportunities for our players and our community.

Thank you to our Benfica coaches for traveling from Portugal and sharing your passion, professionalism, and football knowledge with everyone who attended. We hope to welcome you back to Lake Tahoe soon.
