Perry Creek Golf and Racquet Club in Grenada will host A Day for Jay on Saturday, March 22. The event will feature a One Day Tennis Tournament, 5K run/walk and 1 Mile Fun Run to benefit Jay Tompkins.

TENNIS:
One day doubles tournament.
Women: 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 and open.
Men: 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 and open.
Only one event per player.
$40 per person.
All participants will receive a t-shirt, lunch, and a lot of tennis!

5K Run/Walk:
$25 per person.
All participants will receive a t-shirt.

1 Mile Fun Run:
$10.00 per person.

All proceeds will go to benefit Jay Tompkins, who was diagnosed last year with follicular lymphoma.

Tunica National Events

To All League Players,
We will be doing league registration a little different for the Winter indoor league. As many of you know we are no longer the DeSoto County Tennis Association, but now the Northwest MS Tennis Association. This change in status forms a bigger association which includes DeSoto, Tate and Tunica Counties. Our association receives grant money from the MTA and the USTA based on numbers which include participation in any league play and USTA memberships. This grant money is used by the association to buy much needed equipment and supplies for the various courts in DeSoto, Tate and Tunica counties.

The thing that we can do to help reach the numbers that will give us the maximum amount of grant money is to use tennislink online registration for league and tournament play. It is simple and all you do is enter the provided team number and sign up just like you would for a USTA team. Do not worry about this having any effect on your rating as it will not. Please just call me and tell me what league you are playing and then you will go register at www.mstennis.com.

Registration Numbers: YOu will not be able to sign up until January 1.

Northwest MS High School Tune-Up Tournament
Date: January 23 – 26th
Entry Deadline: January 21
Location: Tunica National Indoor Clay Courts
Divisions: Boys (Singles, Doubles), Girls (Singles, Doubles), Mixed Doubles

*** Players must be High School or Junior Varsity players*** ***This is not an age group tournament***
Draws: Draws will be limited to 16. Players from same High School will be separated as much as possible in the draws.
Entry Fee: Cost is $45 per player. Players may play 1 event

Amenities: All players will be guaranteed 2 matches minimum. All players will receive a tournament T-Shirt. Players will have Pizza Party on Saturday from 12pm – 2pm
Prizes: Trophies will be awarded to Champions, Runner-Ups, Third Place Finishers, and Consolation Winners.
