Fall weather made a visit this morning at the Marion County Championship!
Almost everyone ran PR’s or SB’s with Morgan Smith led that effort by finishing All-County (8th) and BREAKING HER OWN SCHOOL RECORD! 19:30.3 🏃🏼‍♀️

Morgan ran into the history books of Speedway High School Athletics on Saturday, becoming our first runner to compete in the Cross Country State Finals! She raced her way to a personal course record of 20:07.08 on the storied Lavern Gibson course and finished 169th.
To say we are proud of how she has represented our program, school, and our town would be an understatement! Thank you to all of the students, staff, coaches, family, friends, and the Speedway community for the incredible outpouring of support for Morgan and our team!

Tomorrow, she takes the next step into Speedway Athletics history!
