Found all my operation pegasus patches today while cleaning.
I got my DMR!
What time is the safety briefing tomorrow?
I would not be able to come this Saturday until about noon. Would I still be able to play?
Anyone willing to help repair my son's airsoft gun? It's a G&G just won't fire has the mosfit and a led light blinks on the circuit board. It is just over a year old and has not been used much.

Thanks in advance
Will the event this Saturday (9th) be canceled because of air quality?

These guys are good neighbors, they are former and active duty military, law enforcement, firefighters. This is strictly a AIR SOFT (PLASTIC BBs/PELLETTS) SO THE WEAPONS YO SEE HERE ARE NOT REAL!!! so there so NO NEED FOR CONCERN. They are all really nice people. So please pass along to your neighbors on Ritchey road.
Very cool!
Is the event on July 28-29 still open for gameplay, or has the 74 people limit been reached?

Pegasus MilSim is committed to producing quality events for both recreational and MIL-SIM airsoft enthusiasts across the Inland Northwest.

All counties in Washington will move to Phase 3 March 22.

While we'll continue to have our COVID-19 protocols in place as a safety measure for the community, it does mean that we can have more people attend outdoor activities like airsoft events at The Field.

First look at The Field 03/05/2021

It's hard to believe it was four years ago today that we announced we were opening The Field. (It's also hard to believe there was this much snow on the ground.) We've come a long way in the last few years thanks to the community that has seen the potential and been there with us every step of the way. We're looking forward to having all of you back out to The Field next month.

2021 Airsoft Season (Tentative)

Well, 2020 was certainly quite the year for The Field. We built the 1917 trench area, Paul and I traveled to Montana to buy a helicopter -- and we also had a second aircraft fuselage delivered to the property -- and we got in a few more maintenance days to break trail, clear out some dead wood and manage the grounds.
But we didn't get the opportunity to host a single public airsoft game.

After the dumpster fire that has been 2020, we're hoping that we can open up The Field and host events for the public in 2021. We've discussed some ideas for events, solicited feedback from the community, and here's our tentative schedule for 2021.

April 10 -- Game Day (Season Opener) (Open Play)
April 24 -- Build Day (Ground saturation permitting)
May 8 -- Game Day (Open Play)
May 22 -- Build Day
June 5 -- Build Day
June 19 -- Game Day (BarterWings) (Pre-Registration)
July 17 -- Game Day (FIREFLY) (Pre-Registration)
August 21 -- Game Day (Open Play)
September 10-12 -- Operation Pegasus XII (Pre-Registration)
October 16 -- Game Day (FALLOUT)
November 13 -- Annual Veterans Day game (All Veterans play free) (Open Play)

We came up with a schedule that balances four Open Play game dates with four themed events, two Science Fiction-themed and two military simulation-themed. We are continuing to the Pegasus event series, for hopefully the XII year, hosting another episode of BarterWings, putting wanderers back into the Wasteland for a Fallout-themed event, and we are hosting, for the first time, a Firefly-themed event in July.

We have a number of players who travel great distances to our events and we realize we need to host games that take that into account. Therefore, in 2021, all game dates will have later start times for registration and chrono to accomodate all of the people in the community who travel to our field from outside the Spokane area. The gate will open and registration will start for all of our events at 10 a.m., with safety briefing to be held no later than 11. That will give our participants a solid 6 to 7 hours of trigger time out on the field at all of our games.

We won't be changing the daily price for registration for Open Play, which will remain at $10. Themed events will generally cost $25 with the exception of Pegasus, which will cost $50 per person.

You'll notice we have build dates on the schedule. For every build day you participate in (participate is defined as helping work on developing the field), it will be equal to one free Open Play on the day of your choice. (Note the free play only applies to Open Play game dates)

All of these plans are, of course, tentative, depending on the rollout of the vaccine for COVID-19 and the opening of our community at a date to be determined.

We look forward to seeing you and hosting some great airsoft events in 2021.

11/11/2020

To everyone in the community who has ever stood on that wall, whether it was aboard ship, aboard a plane or with your boots firmly planted on the ground, on this Veterans Day we thank each and every one of you for your service.

Stolen valor: Phony ‘soldier’ walking around accepting candy for his ‘service’

Fake Guns, Fictional Battles, Real Uniforms: Inside the Immersive World of MilSim

Great article in Sunday’s New York Times about MilSim Airsoft with a look at MilSim West.

They run the most immersive events you’ll ever participate in — many people in our community myself included have gone to their events at Horseshoe Bend Ranch and down at Camp Rilea — and if you’re looking for next level MilSim you should give them a look.

Also I think the Times misspelled Kharkov.

August build day photos. Due to windy conditions we didn’t get around to painting the Cessna 402, but we did put up two more buildings in the trench area, moved the 402 from the parking lot up the hill to the plateau, moved the Kiowa and Cessna 172, started construction on the airport, cleared out a half dozen dead or dying trees as well as some deadwood already on the ground and opened up a trail section from the marina up to the plateau. It was a very productive day.

Inslee orders new limits on gatherings

Earlier this afternoon Gov. Inslee said that counties that are in Phase 2 will be restricted to a maximum of 5 people in social gatherings. Counties in Phase 3 -- most counties that surround Spokane right now -- are now limited to 10 people at social gatherings. So here's what that means for us: We will not be hosting public games for the foreseeable future. Pegasus XII, scheduled for September, will be postponed until 2021.

spokesman.com OLYMPIA – In an effort to stop the spread of COVID-19 in Washington, Gov. Jay Inslee said he will issue new restrictions on gatherings.

So we did some things today. We extended the parking / camping area into the tree line behind the main parking lot. Responding to the annual query “Hey can we have a fire?” The answer is now yes. Sort of. And we finished the first part of the rehab of the Dakota which we plan to build into a technical with side walls in the back for people riding in the back. And we stained the picnic tables. And dug a burn pit for all the tree debris. And cleared more parking over by the shed. Nothing as sexy as building trenches. Next time.

We’re still in Phase 2 which means no large public games yet. We have to wait for Stage 3. We’re sorry about that but on a positive note we continue with construction and look forward to having you come out and see all the work we’ve put in to The Field.

Drone's eye view of second trench line

Here's a drone's eye view of the second trench line, giving a walk through to show you how we built it. Remember those trailer loads of pallets we collected all winter long? Here's where they all went.

Generally the main / front trench is about 30 feet long (4 foot long pallets x 7 x 2 (front/back)), with a 45-degree angle on the communication trench, the bunker position, where we used 4-5 foot tall logs stood up on end, another communication trench back to the supporting trench, which includes a rear entry / exit point.

It took approximately 30-40 pallets per trench, with each two pallets screwed together and propped up with a 2x4, a 4x4 post wedged in between every two pallets on the ground to act as a brace when we backfilled with dirt, and to prevent those posts becoming a tripping hazard, and to provide additional stability, we added approximately 4-5 inches of gravel, which will also assist with drainage.

Todd's getting some flight time in with his drone, so I wanted to give a shout out to the handful of guys who have been making Project: 1917 happen: Anthony Mendez, Matt Jessel (Matt I really hope I spelled your name correctly), Ben Anderson, Paul Holloway, Todd and Jake Frey, Tim McConnell, Russ Lenz and Mike Delfino. Here we are being socially distant, except for Tim McConnell. He's camping somewhere in Idaho this weekend.

About Pegasus MilSim and “The Field”

Welcome to Pegasus MilSim, home to “The Field,” the only purpose-built airsoft field in Spokane County. We’re located on 39 acres of land about 15 minutes as the crow flies northwest from the Fairchild main gate.

Under various names in the past, we’ve been hosting airsoft events across the Inland Northwest for 12 years. From Mountain Airsoft in Rice down to the old Dragon Wars field in Colville and closer to home, we’ve been running and gunning for a while now.

Three years ago (2017) we decided to burn our retirement and go all in on creating an airsoft field by and for airsofters. Over the last few years we’ve been constantly improving The Field, adding new towns, roads, clearing out trees, creating new parking and camping space, in order to make our property your go-to destination for airsoft here in the Inland Northwest.

So why do we call it “The Field?” Simple. We’re staffed with a number of military veterans, and when we were trying to come up with a name, we kept thinking about our time in the service. Whenever we went out to train, we weren’t going to 52 Training Area or the Zulu Impact Area, we were going to the field.
