I don’t think there is anything better than watching a bird dog run!

The fall of Black Betty! Getting ready to embark on a new journey with her

I really enjoy watching Betty burn up the woods looking for birds. She is really stylish and has drive for days

Pretty good day in the Northwoods!

Watching Betty on the prairies was really special this year

Great day to go run Betty as we prepare her for another Northwoods trip along with her first field trial the week after!

What’s the perfect sound in the fall?

60 miles into the 2026 upland season, and we have managed to shoot three different species over three different dogs! Many more miles to go!

This will be one of those walks I remember forever. Mollie and the girls all came on a walk tonight. Everyone is chatting and my handheld vibrates… Kate is on point 107 yards ahead! We make the walk all the way there, I walked into the cover and was able to make it happen. Kate had to hold this one forever.
Then on the way out, some bear hunters drove by from Wisconsin and Taddie got to see her first black bear. For anyone who knows Taddie, going Bear hunting might rank higher on her bucket list than Disney.
A walk in the Northwoods that I will forever remember!
