Another successful tennis event....

Hello, everyone!

We are all set for this coming Sunday for the Men's Davis Cup Format tennis tournament. We have already booked the 6 tennis courts of Deltona Park. Trophies were ordered already and will be brought by FTAC Filipino Tennis Association of Clermont c/o Don Ray Villarin and group. They will also bring lechon, fish stew and beef steak. PATAT Tampa c/o Robert Titoy will bring tennis balls 5 cartons and 5 packs of 24-bottled water. For our part, my family will bring rice and spaghetti. You can bring anything you can, potluck contribution to make the occasion more enticing! We have booked the pavilion for lunch purposes (around noon time).

Our teams are: FTLHC 1 , Richard, Mark and Joseph. I requested them to include Justin if possible, as the 4th player.

FTLHC 2, Marco Jun, Boboy and Shuli (the last 2 are not so sure if they can make it though, but we have standby just in case -Jerry, Jimmy and me.) Any other interested? We have limited to 8 teams only because of time constraint.

PATAT has 2 teams PATAT 1 - Titoy, Alan, Rose and Dad, and PATAT 2-Stan, Manny, Charles and Wiliam.

FTAC has 4 teams: FTAC 1 - Derek-Titing, Ronald, Kenneth P. and Juan; FTAC 2- Raddie,Raul, Jesse, and Jo; FTAC 3 - Adner, Obet,Francis G. and Derek; FTAC 4- Don,Rick, Ken A. and Sam.

The draw had been made: FTAC 1 v. PATAT 2, FTAC 2 v.FTLHC 2; FTAC 3 v. FTLHC 1; FTAC 4 v. PATAT 1

First round losers will go to the Losers Bracket or B Division and will have their own championship; so each team will, at least play twice.

We will try to use all the 8 courts at early 8 am. for the first round, then as the tournament goes, some courts may be used for friendly games for those not participating. Ladies may have better chance to play after lunch. I suggest the ladies can form 2 groups and make a friendly team competition also- with Nancy I. and Josie as 2 team leaders, why not?

I hope everyone will be able to come, participate, watch, play and enjoy the day! Don't forget to bring your favorite chairs.
