🌒 Winter Solstice: A Time to Rest, Reflect, and Reclaim Your Magic 🌘
Winter Solstice, also known as Yule, is the longest night of the year—a sacred pause before the sun begins its return. Traditionally celebrated by pagans, this season reminds us of the beauty in stillness and the power of renewal. It’s a time to honor the darkness, celebrate the light’s return, and set intentions for the year ahead.
For the modern free-spirited woman, here’s how to bring some practical magic into your Winter Solstice celebration:
🌟 1. Create a Yule Altar
Gather items that represent the season—pinecones, evergreens, candles, and crystals like garnet or clear quartz. Add something personal to you: a journal, photos, or symbols of your goals for the coming year.
🔥 2. Light a Solstice Candle
In pagan tradition, fire symbolizes the sun’s rebirth. Light a candle at sunset and let it burn through the night (safely, of course!). As it burns, reflect on what you’re releasing and what you’re welcoming in.
🌲 3. Decorate with Nature
Evergreens are a symbol of eternal life. Bring a touch of nature indoors—wreaths, garlands, or even a small Yule log. You can craft one yourself and burn it as part of a release ritual.
🌙 4. Rest & Reflect
Take the longest night as an invitation to slow down. Journal about the past year—what you’ve learned, what you’re ready to let go of, and what dreams you’re ready to nurture in the light of the new year.
🧂 5. Solstice Bath Ritual
Run a warm bath infused with herbs like rosemary and lavender, or add Epsom salt and a few drops of essential oil. As you soak, visualize the water cleansing you of old energy, making space for renewal.
✨ 6. Craft an Intention Spell
Write down your intentions for the coming year and fold the paper into a pouch with herbs like cinnamon or bay leaves. Keep it on your altar or in a sacred space as a reminder of your goals.
💫 7. Celebrate with Loved Ones
Host a cozy gathering with friends or family. Share a meal, tell stories, and toast to the light’s return. Bonus points if you bake something seasonal like spiced cookies or mulled cider!
Winter Solstice invites us to pause, honor the darkness, and celebrate the light’s return. Whether you’re lighting a single candle or hosting a full-blown Yule gathering, let this season remind you of your inner power and connection to the cycles of nature.

🔮 Friday the 13th Magic 🔮
Forget the fear!
Contrary to modern belief, Friday the 13th is a lucky day…it has deep history of superstition and mystical significance with roots in both ancient mythology and cultural traditions
While normally seen as unlucky in Western culture, it also carries the magic of transformation, rebirth, and divine feminine energy
The number 13 is connected with lunar and menstrual cycles & 13 lunar months in a year
In pre-Christian societies, 13 was seen as sacred and tied to fertility and the moon
It was celebrated through rituals honoring female energy
Friday is also associated with Venus (or Freya/Frigg in Norse mythology), goddesses linked to love, beauty, and fertility
This makes Friday the 13th a potential celebration of divine feminine power rather than a source of fear
This day is all about transformation, intuition, and stepping into your power
Tonight, I’m doing a simple ritual to release fear, honor my inner wisdom, and plant seeds of intention
🖤 Here’s how you can join me:
🕯️ Light a black candle to release doubt
💦 Reflect with water to awaken intuition (this can be a cup of tea)
🧘♀️ Set intentions with a meditation
What’s one fear you’re ready to let go of tonight?
Share below or keep it close to your heart as you honor this magical day

Just a few years ago, I was checking all the boxes…9-5 job, steady paycheck, and climbing the ladder but I felt completely empty
I didn’t realize it at the time, but the burnout I was feeling was a sign I wasn’t living in alignment with what I really wanted
Here are the 3 important lessons I learned in my journey from stuck in a dead end job to building my yoga & coaching business
Lesson 1 - 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗦𝘆𝗺𝗽𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁
I thought burnout was just part of working hard and that everyone hated their jobs but sucked it up better than me
What I didn’t realize was that it was a sign I was on the wrong path
I was in 𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 but not with my goals or desires
When I started asking myself “𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘥𝘰 𝘐 𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘭𝘺 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵?” everything began to shift
I let go of what wasn’t serving me and found clarity in what I actually wanted from life (this was a process and took time to uncover)
Lesson 2 - 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴
I spent so much time thinking about what I wanted and trying to “mindset” my way to feeling happy but never took the action necessary
I would learn or read something and then not implement what I learned
What I realized was clarity doesn’t come from waiting, it’s not passive, it comes from doing and doing it in a way infuses our core values
I started with small steps, like creating a morning ritual and saying ‘yes’ to opportunities outside my comfort zone
Each step brought me closer to my purpose and every action I do take, is getting me closer
Lesson 3 - 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝘀 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗝𝗼𝗯
I used to think my 9-5 was my identity
But guess what? Your worth isn’t tied to your title, salary, or job
When I reconnected with my passions and purpose, I realized I had so much more to offer
You’re allowed to want more
You deserve to feel fulfilled
If you’ve been dreaming of something more, more freedom, more fulfillment, more alignment, it’s time to lean into what’s calling you

Does the word 𝘞𝘪𝘵𝘤𝘩 trigger you?
It used to for me too!
For a long time, I didn’t resonate with the word “Witch”
I worried it would make people think something was wrong with me…or that they’d find me 𝘵𝘰𝘰 weird
Even now, with so many embracing the word openly, some still feel uneasy about connecting with their inner Witch
For me, it’s never been about casting spells or doing “magick” (although that sounds pretty cool too!)
It’s about reconnecting with nature, honoring the Moon’s cycles (and our own), celebrating the seasons with Ritual, and being deeply, unapologetically me
And…I know I’m not alone
If you’re feeling called to tap into this kind of intentional, grounded magic, my free 𝗘𝗺𝗯𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗥𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲 was made for you!
It’s a gentle invitation to ground, release blocks, and connect with your intuition through 3 simple daily rituals that align you with your soul’s purpose

I freakin LOVE parts work!
My coaching client this week had never done this type of work before, she’s never even meditated before we started working together
The thing about me is, I love going deep and I love doing it quickly…of course there’s always grounding & making sure my clients feel safe to do so
But parts work is my jam and this weeks sessions allowed me to be in my element and it’s lit a fire inside me
Knowing we all have parts of us that maybe we don’t like as much like our fear or anxiety, these parts are just trying to keep us safe
And I got to guide my client through these parts, tell them thank you for doing your job, now hit the road and then guide her to invite the parts of her that felt strong, powerful, wise so she felt calm, peaceful and ready to continue down the path of her desires
It’s so freakin cool to be able to do this work, work I thought no one wanted, work I thought was too woo, too intangible, too vague and yet here I am, owning my worth, leaning into my own work and embracing the embodied yoga witch that I am
people need what I have to offer whether it’s a juicy yoga asana, a deep meditation, a powerful breathwork or a relaxing sound bath…it’s all needed and wanted 🧘♀️🌬️🔮

🔮Practical Magic Tip for the Modern Woman 🔮
Sis, it’s time to let go… of those sad, crispy plants sitting on your windowsill
I get it, you tried to keep them alive
You talked to them, watered (or drowned) them, and gave them all the good vibes
But here’s the thing: dead plants = stale energy
Your space needs to breathe and flow with fresh life, not a plant graveyard
So, here’s your modern witchy wisdom: If it’s not thriving, it’s gotta go
Clearing out old, stagnant energy makes room for new growth – in your plants and your life
Bonus tip: thank your dying plants for their time and love before you toss them
Fresh energy, fresh start.
