We are excited to be opening the season in CT! Excited for the team! There’s still time to sign up with us! We will be putting in uniform orders asap so we can get them in time for game one 🙏🏾🔥🔥🔥

Made a big move for the team for spring season New England Black Panthers. The goal no matter where we play is to go out and compete. We will be playing in the Big East Football League for the spring season 2025.

It puts a change in some of the preparation for the season and it costs a little more to play but it’ll all be worth it in the end.

Looking to get quality film against some quality teams and come out and get after it on a week to week basis.

Locked in our spot this week and this weekend a lot of updates are in the works so I can have most answers answered before the month is over.

We still have joint practices, jamborees and pre season stuff in the works.

Just have to get the staff in order and get the information out to the players so we can get moving.
The come back is looking great and we have 10x the staff for the team compared to 2023 and we are just getting started!

Players that are interested please reach out and we will chat and those who were already spoken to we will have more information coming soon!

My head of captain’s Jonathan Hammond more details on that before the season but in short he will be the liaison between the captain’s and the players and me.

His job is to communicate with the players and the other captains on what’s working and what’s not working within the program so that we can work together in solving these issues to make the program better.

He also will sit in important meetings so information can get to the players quicker.

His experience playing in the game makes the decision easy.

There will be 5 other captains announced! Who will be the next 5 we will see 🔥🙏🏾💯

WR Coach Hunter Farrar

Excited for Hunter to coach in the spring with the team. He brings a lot of skill and expertise to the coaching room for the spring 🙏🏾

WRs will be in contact with him when the season starts. He will handle WR rotations come game day.

With the posts coming out this week we will reach out weekly goal and that will help us eventually monetize the page. We will be able to use those funds to reduce player out of the pocket costs, update things for the team, work on community events and more.

I’d like to introduce my other Swiss Army knife Jonathan Hammond who will be WR/DB/ATH for the New England Black Panthers Hammond is a vet in the game with a lot of knowledge and he brings that leadership and grit on the field. Hes no stranger to winning as he’s been apart of many wining seasons. Hes also my first named captain for 2025 on his second star with the team. Hes gonna play a major role in taking some of the weight off my shoulders.

Excited to have him back on the field with us 🙏🏾

I’d like to welcome my WRs Coach Hunter Farrar 🙏🏾 he’s a Swiss Army knife with multiple capabilities on the field. In 2023 he was the punt returner, kick returner, WR and DB. He can mix it up when needed and he can even kick the ball.

He’s debuting his coaching skills as he gets ready for summer season. The WR room is getting deep and we are excited to have someone who is knowledgeable of the position and has the experience on the field as well

We appreciate having him behind the scenes working on graphics on a week to week basis. We will be having a media day so that we can have content for graphics and so that the players can showcase their skills!

Big things coming for the year!!

We haven’t done any updates on here with our page growth but here’s what we have to get done for the week. The goal by spring 2025 and summer 2025 is to start the first wave of social media growth with our captains that are to be named.

The New England Black Panthers Will Be Back For Spring And Summer 2025 For The ECFL.

We are excited to open shop back up and the players are interested as well. We are looking for all positions and staff members as well. Updates on positions available will be out soon.

The Black Panthers will be lead by Head Coach Johnathen Matlock. Johnathen Matlock is a graduate of Putnam Highschool in Springfield MA and graduate of Franklin Pierce University where he played OL/DL and DB throughout his career there.

Johnathen Matlock led the Black panthers in 2023 to the Xenith Bowl in the spring finishing with a 4-2 record and he also brought the Black Panthers to the playoffs for summer seasons finishing the season 4-4.

The organization for their efforts earned some hardware year on earning rookie organization of the year! We also had a player earn rookie player of the year. 

Johnathen Matlock is looking to lead the team again in 2025 spring and summer seasons.

We are in the process of trying to eliminate the use of Venmo, cashapp, Zelle ect to collect player dues and sponsorship money.

We are looking to integrate a system that has an unlimited multi link system that will allow us to professionally collect player fees and sponsor fees as well.

It takes a little longer to set up but it can monitor who owes what and we can also use different features to make team purchases as well.

This will help in the future growth of the team and we are excited to get it set up.

We still have to set some stuff up for the players to fill out but hopefully we will have that done by the weekend. Some player commitment posts coming soon!

Here is what our official game balls will look like for the spring and summer 2025 seasons

Ball will have the teams name New England Black Panthers on it.

We will be working on bringing in sponsors to help cover longterm game ball fees. Excited for the season and stay tuned for the growth coming to the page.
