The last several months haven’t been easy.

Between dealing with chronic health issues, migraines, medical appointments, work stress, financial pressures, and trying to be the best person , friend, and employee I can be, there have been days when simply making it through the day felt like a victory.

I’ve had moments where I felt overwhelmed, discouraged, and exhausted. Some days I had to focus on getting through the next hour instead of worrying about the next week.

But one thing I’ve learned is that progress isn’t always a straight line.

Lately, I’ve been making a conscious effort to get back on track. Taking things one day at a time. Showing up when I can. Giving myself grace on the hard days and building momentum on the good ones. The struggles are still there, but so is my determination to keep moving forward.

If you’re dealing with a chronic illness, a medical condition, mental exhaustion, financial stress, family responsibilities, or life in general, know that you’re not alone. Sometimes strength isn’t about pushing harder it’s about refusing to quit.

Nobody really talks about what it’s like dealing with life in general on top of a chronic illness or ongoing medical condition.

Not completely falling apart.
Not magically “better” either.

Just:
managing symptoms,
going to work anyway,
pretending you’re fine in public,
canceling plan,
trying not to spiral,
and celebrating the small wins nobody else notices.

Some days the goal Isn’t to push yourself hard.
It’s just making it through the day without your body or mind fighting you the whole time.

That still counts.

If you need advice, support, or just someone to talk to — feel free to reach out.

Picking yourself back up after a rough period isn’t about suddenly becoming okay again.

It’s the small things.

Getting out of bed.
Answering texts.
Laughing again.
Making it through the day without feeling completely drained.

When you’ve been in pain for a long time, you don’t rebuild yourself overnight.

You rebuild in small moments.

So if you’re still tired while trying to heal, be patient with yourself.

You’ve been carrying a lot.

Bad week?

Same.

You know the kind where your body wakes up already mad at you, your plans fall apart before noon, and even “taking it easy” somehow feels like too much?

Yeah. One of those.

But here’s your reminder- a bad week doesn’t mean a constant cycle . It just means your body and brain are running a different program right now and you’re doing your best inside it.

So if today looks like:

* doing less
* moving slower
* canceling things
* or just surviving the basics

That still counts. That still matters.

We don’t need to “bounce back” perfectly.
We just need to keep showing up in whatever way we can.

Even if that version of you is tired, frustrated, and over it.

Especially then.

What’s one thing you did today for yourself to detach from the pain ?

04/15/2026

I don’t “push through” anymore.
I work around.

I used to think strength meant ignoring the pain.
Acting like it wasn’t there.
Keeping up no matter what.

That mindset will burn you out fast.

Now?
Strength looks like adjusting.
Changing plans.
Leaving early.
Sometimes not going at all.

Not because I can’t handle it-
because I understand the cost.

Pain always collects.
You just choose when you pay.

So today, I’m not pushing through.
I’m moving smarter.

Because that’s how I stay ahead.

What’s something you’ve had to start doing differently to protect your energy?

Chronic pain is wild.

You wake up like:
“Okay… today might be a good day.”

Your body:
lol absolutely not

Now you’re negotiating with yourself like:
“If I drink water, stretch, take meds, sit weird, stand weird, and don’t breathe wrong… maybe I can function.”

Meanwhile everyone else is just out here… existing normally?? Must be nice.

But hey—if you got out of bed, answered one text, or simply didn’t lose your mind today…

That counts.

What’s your body arguing with you about today?

Living with challenges doesn’t mean you stop showing up… it just means you show up differently.

This Easter, we’re celebrating growth, resilience, and the small wins that nobody sees.

From OH VOY — Happy Easter 🐣💛
Keep pushing. Keep going. Always.

Some battles don’t leave bruises—but they still hurt just as much.

Living with invisible pain means showing up with a smile while carrying something heavy no one else can see. It means being misunderstood, doubted, or told “you look fine” when you’re anything but.

But your experience is real. Your strength is real. And your story matters.

What helps you make people understand what you’re going through? 👇

Some days, “getting through it” is the win.

Living with a chronic condition doesn’t always look like progress, growth, or big breakthroughs.
Sometimes it’s:
• Resting when you feel guilty
• Saying no when you want to say yes
• Just making it to the end of the day

And that still counts.

At OH VOY, we celebrate not just the big victories—but the quiet strength it takes to keep going when no one else sees the fight.

💬 Today, if you’re simply making it through, you’re not behind… you’re human.
