DIRT CRITS UPDATE: WELCOME THE B+ CATEGORY

As Dirt Crits continues to grow, we’re making a small adjustment to the Categories starting at 6:05pm to keep racing competitive, safe, and fun for everyone. Beginning this week, Males will race in 4 Categories, instead of 3 (Female Categories will remain unchanged).
•
A Race: for Cat 1 or aspiring Cat 1 Racers
B+ Race: for Cat 2/3s who are A Race bound
B Race: for Masters Cat2/3s or Intermediate Riders who are not aspiring to be future A Racers
C Race: Juniors & Beginner Racers

WHY CHANGE? Last week we had more than 70 riders in the B & C races alone. Creating a new B+ Category gives developing Racers a place to compete against riders of similar speeds, while creating a more natural progression for them as they build skills as future A Racers. Most importantly, it creates a more inviting and less congested Race experience for the remaining Categories at the 6:05pm start time.

Our goal is simple: better racing for everyone, from first-time racers to the fastest riders on course. As alwrays, we’ll continue to evaluate the Categories and make adjustments as participation grows. See you Thursday!

Summer Series Dirt Crits #2 (out of 8) is in the books. Not only did we have PERFECT weather, but also HERO dirt, which made for FAST times and a massive turnout (there were almost 130 participants between Racers, Volunteers, and Spectators).

Did you know? The official name of our Men’s & Women’s “A” Races this year are - Chasing Devon Jarrett & Chasing chelsea jarrett … That’s because this Dirt Crits power couple won the Series Points Competition last year 💪💪😎
•
Don’t forget we have a Team Points Competition for the Series as well. Keep an eye on this category, because SBR Racing p/b YING YING YING™️ + South Side XC + Wheels Up XC are going to be all fighting for the top spot on the podium!

Lastly, shoutout to 4 Hands Brewing Co. & SBR Bikes & Brews for providing the best post race refreshments you could ask for. See you next Thursday!

Race #2 (out of 8 total) for our Summer Series Dirt Crits at Valley Park is in the books! Not only did we dodge the rain (again), but the sub 80 degree weather was too perfect. All in all, probably the best racing conditions we have ever had.

A huge THANK YOU to the 120 ish of you who came out and raced, Volunteered, and/or spectated & encouraged. The energy was unmatched, the vibes were high, and we couldn’t have asked for a better night.

ATTENTION RACERS: There are new START TIMES for tonight’s Dirt Crits #1 at Valley Park.

In order to finish the A Race before the rain comes in, we will be moving Start Times up. See below for details:

B/C Group: Starting 5 minutes early with a new Start Time of 6:00p (instead of 6:05p).

A Group: Starting 10 minutes early with a new Start Time of 6:55p (instead of 7:00p).
