Today 8 members of the St. Louis Shuffleboard Club traveled 90 miles to Perryville, Missouri to compete in the Southeast Missouri Senior Games. Everyone won medals in both Singles and Doubles in shuffleboard as well as some other events. The courts in Perryville are extremely challenging. They are super fast, and have a variety of drifts. One court actually had a drift that caused the disk to move in an "S" direction.

Despite 90 degree heat and high humidity, we had 14 Club members playing shuffleboard at Des Peres Park today. Our next tournament is in Perryville, MO for the Southeast Missouri Games on August 9th. It's a nice venue, especially because some of the best home made pie is at the Park-et restaurant.

We have a lot of hard workers in our Club. That's Larry Adams with the broom. Recently, a large tree has been dropping sticky sap on the court, so Larry was spreading water and then sweeping it all off this morning. It got up into the 90's today, and that's Mike Bruce, Cliff Harvey, and John O'Connor, setting up 2 Gazebo Tents to provide some shade.
