Pirates 2024 Season

After going 0-19-1 last season the Pirates bounced back this year and made the playoffs. So far we are 2-1 and going the championship finals!

St. Louis Pirates Sign Chris Hutchison to a 2 Year Deal

St. Louis, MO, Sept 24, 2022

After a disappointing season where the Pirates did not win any games, GM Mark Williams wasted little time by signing a Veteran Forward Enforcer. Today the team announced the signing of Chris Hutchison to a 2 year deal.

Chris played 14 seasons with the Piranhas and Stampede amassing 69 goals, 97 assists and 238 penalty minutes including a tally of 58 penalty minutes in his rookie season in 2005/06. “Chris is an integral cog in the Pirates wheel of success” said Captain and GM Mark Williams in a recent interview with Adult Hockey Times “He is bringing some grit to our forward lines that is striking fear in the hearts of our opponents and the scorekeepers.”

“To have a guy on the team who has played one year less than Williams, but has 70+ more career penalty minutes is mentally stunning to the minds of the mindful” said low penalty minute player Eric Forinash.

Hutchison and his agent were on hand at a press conference today after the announcement. “I am just excited to get back on the ice and help the Pirates get deep into the playoffs this season” said Chris as his agent sat proudly by.

St. Louis Pirates Trade Veteran Forward Patrick Sucher
St. Louis, MO. Sept 23, 2022

Big news from the St. Louis Pirates. After a miserable 2021/22 season that was clearly the league’s fault and not GM Mark Williams’, the GM made a landslide deal signing Veteran forward Patrick Sucher to a 2-year deal.

Sucher played 8 seasons with the Pirates and former named Blast compiling 11 goals, 19 assists and 34 penalty minutes in 109 regular season games. Sucher accumulated 20 of his penalty minutes in one season, commonly referred to as the angry year of Sooch. Sucher was an original player on the first year of the team and the teams first Captain.

General Manager Mark Williams has been taking heat from Pirates fans all week. From his plush Clayton office Williams said “Last year was tough and we lost a few good players because of it. We couldn’t reach an agreement with Bremerkamp or Humphrey, Steinke retired and Manno is still on IR. We added some additional defenseman but bringing back a veteran player is a big help with leadership in the really small locker rooms.” No official press conference has been scheduled yet.

Still hanging on to 3rd place by a thread.
