Odessa Golf

Golf Season officially came to an end today. Congratulations to Ayden for making it to State! He battled some of the worst conditions both days of the tournament, and still improved on his performance last season. In fact he shot the best score an Odessa Bulldog has turned in at the state championship! Though he didn’t finish where he wanted, this was a great accomplishment and I am very proud of how he was able to play.

The qualification criteria and nomination information is provided to all Missouri high school coaches, and recognition as Academic All-State is dependent on coach nomination and verification.

Academic All-State Qualification Criteria
3.5 Non-Rounded, Non-Weighted, Cumulative GPA OR 25 ACT Superscore OR 1200 SAT
Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in good standing with their team/school
Considered a Varsity golfer by the coach’s/school’s standards

Big Day for Ayden Williams! He is now a two time State Qualifier!
Ayden Placed Second at Districts, and added his name to the Odessa Record book again, tying the school record for 18 holes with a 76.

We didn’t finish where we wanted as a team this season, but I couldn’t be more proud of these young men! Boys golf will be back and better next season!

Huge congratulations to Ayden Williams and Tristen Janes who finished All Conference today! Ayden finished in 2nd with 80 and Tristen in 4th with an 85! 🔥
Unfortunately we weren’t able to get it done as a team finishing 4th in the MRVC west. Just wasn’t our best round, and left a lot to improve on.
Back at it Wednesday for Districts and a chance to punch our ticket to State!

Richmond Varsity Tournament today, and it’s a big one. 25 schools, with 121 players! Odessa finished in 9th as a team, not exactly where we wanted to be, but not bad! Ayden Williams led the Bulldogs finishing in 13th with an 80. Back at it on Monday for the MRVC tournament! Go Dogs!

What a way to finish the match season! 🐾⛳️

The Bulldog Varsity team set a NEW 9-hole school record today with an incredible 155! Huge congratulations to Ayden Williams for breaking the individual school record with a 1-under-par 35 — an amazing accomplishment!

Shoutout to the rest of the Varsity squad for their outstanding rounds:

• Kason – 40
• Tristen – 42
• Kaydon – 43

This team effort helped seal the record and cap off a historic season, finishing 15–4… the best record in program history! We Defeated Marshall and Sacred heart, but fell short by 10 strokes to St. Michael.

JV also made history, setting a new team low score of 170!
• Solomon – 39 (PR!)
• Nolan – 40 (PR!)
• Cole – 41 (PR!)
• Drake – 50
JV finished 12-4!

I couldn’t be prouder of this entire team. Every player, top to bottom, has improved, contributed, and made an impact this season.

And we’re not done yet… Varsity has three more tournaments ahead as we chase our ultimate goal: STATE.

Nice finish for the Bulldogs at the Higginsville invitational! The boys finished in third as a team, two strokes out of claiming second.
Our Best Ball team of Gunner and Tristen finished in second place with a 76.🔥
Our Scramble team of Kaydon and Kason finished in second also with a 71. 🔥
Ayden was our individual and shot an 83. Finishing in 5th overall. 🔥

Bulldogs finish in FIRST today! 🏆

The boys took down Pleasant Hill and Clinton in a windy match at Country Creek. There were some ups and downs, but they got the job done!

With today’s wins, the Dogs improve to 13-3, surpassing the school record win total set back in the 2015 season. Huge accomplishment!🙌🏼

🔥 JV also came through strong, led by Solomon Begemann’s personal record score of 40
🔥 JV record now stands at 10-4

Tough one for the Bulldogs today, falling to Harrisonville by just two strokes in a true heartbreaker. The boys played a great round though, posting our second-best team score of the season and still coming out ahead of Center.

JV also had a strong showing, setting a new team record—great work all around!

Gunner led the way for us this week, finishing as runner-up with a personal best score of 39. Proud of the effort from everyone.

Now we turn the page and get ready for Pleasant Hill and Clinton tomorrow. Let’s keep it rolling! 💪
