We’re excited to welcome Coach Dominick Iaconis to the Five Star Mafia coaching staff and Connecticut Sports Performance.

Dominick brings both collegiate playing experience and several years of player development coaching to our organization. He began his college career at Adelphi University before transferring to The College of Saint Rose, where he continued competing at the collegiate level. Originally recruited as a catcher, Dominick also spent time at first base, giving him a strong understanding of defensive leadership, game management, and infield play.

For the past four years, Dominick has served as the Head Baseball Coach at The Clubhouse, where he worked primarily with 12U and 13U teams. During that time he focused heavily on player development, strong fundamentals, and building advanced baseball IQ—areas that align perfectly with the standards we emphasize at Five Star.

Dominick’s coaching philosophy centers on developing complete athletes. He believes that strong fundamentals, discipline, and a deep understanding of the game allows players to separate themselves as they progress in their baseball careers. His goal as a coach is not only to help players succeed today, but to prepare them for the next level by teaching the details, work ethic, and mindset required to continue advancing in the game.

Most importantly, Dominick is passionate about creating an environment where players are challenged, supported, and pushed to reach their full potential both on and off the field.
