2017 Setsucon Visual Studio

Hi everyone! We are looking to add new maids and butlers to the Moeru Maid & Butler Cafe team. We have run a couple events so far and are growing our staff.

If you are interested in applying to join the team, please send a message to our page PSU ACG Allies stating that you would like to become a maid or butler, along with:
- a photo of yourself (whether or not you are in cosplay in the photo is fine)
- a self-introduction and why you want to be a maid or butler
- a short summary of your acting skills (formal or improvised)
- any special talents you may have that you can perform as part of your maid/butler role
- what customer service or restaurant server experience you may have.

Also if you have no experience, that is totally fine -- there are training sessions. That also goes for if you do not have a costume -- we can help get you a costume, no worries. Do not hesitate to apply! :)

Tsumami - Japanese Fabric Art Workshop

“Tsumami” is a traditional craft which has been practiced since the late Edo period Kanzashi refer to folded cloth flowers that traditionally adorned tsumami kanzashi, a kind of hair ornaments used in traditional Japanese hairstyles. The ornaments made by this technique is indispensable for enhancing the beauty of kimono.
Join us to make your own Kanzashi flowers! On Oct 21, this Friday. PSU ACG Allies will host a DIY workshop on Janpenese Fabric Art. It will take place in HUB 102, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. We will provide all the material, such as silk, metal decorations, cotton etc. On-site guidance, tutorials and samples will also be provided. The entrance fee is $5 for an hour, and $2 additional fee each additional half hour. Tip: If you wear Japanese-style costumes, the second hour will be free.
