& my pro debut is in the books!

This past weekend I competed at the San Antonio Pro and wound up placing 14th out of 20 Bikini Pros. Granted that's not the placing I was hoping for, I didn't really come into the show with any expectations. I just wanted to see where I stood against some other pros so I could see where I needed to improve and get better.

Before leaving for Texas I was feeling like I was looking pretty good, but after landing, I started looking like I was wasting away. Stringy, skinny. I did my best to eat what I had available and was loading up on rice and rice cakes, along with some of my trusty Rice Krispy treats, and the night before the show even got a big bacon cheeseburger with sweet potato fries, but unfortunately didn't really look like I was eating that much Sat AM. The morning of the show, my stomach was not cooperating and I didn't eat more than a 1/2 a bagel all AM. This is something I deal with most days, but on show day it's even more of a struggle because timing is important. So needless to say, I don't think I was my best at this debut. I know I could've been fuller but that's part of the game! You learn, you make changes, and you come back better.

I was able to get feedback from one judge so far, and I already knew what he was going to say and I was correct- I need to grow more size in my legs and glutes, so "get to eatin!" and that is something I certainly can and want to do, as that was the plan anyway.

I think I'm going to take the rest of the year off to grow and also take care of some things in my personal life, like finally getting this carpal tunnel surgery done, and my current goal is to return to the stage next year for the New York Pro, which is a show I have been dreaming about being able to compete in since 2015! My dream is to bring the NY Pro title home to a real NY pro girl!

Until then, we start crushing this reverse diet and get food higher, and likely start prep again around March. That will give me 6 months to improve before my next cut, and that should be enough time to make some great improvements to bring to the stage next year. See you back on the stage in 2023!

How many times have you lashed out at someone simply because you were disappointed or mad at yourself? 🤦🏻‍♀️

How we treat others greatly reflects how we feel about ourselves. Hurt people hurt people. Healed people heal people.

This need to take our anger or frustration out on others is called “displaced anger” in the psych world, and it’s far too common.

It is your job to fall madly in love with yourself.

Only then will you know exactly what it is that you’ll allow into your life, exactly how you’ll allow others to treat you, and how you’ll allow yourself to treat yourself. You'll know your boundaries when you love yourself.

We all make a choice on how we get to be treated, based on what we feel we’re worthy or deserving of.

We make the choice for what we’ll allow into our life. We make the choice to settle for way less than we know we’re deserving of. We make the choice to treat others based on our perception of ourselves.

Practicing forgiveness for those who have treated us badly and forgiving ourselves for allowing it to happen in the first place will open the soace for those who will treat you exactly how you want them to, and it all stems from self-love, self esteem and self worth.

•What needs to be shifted in your life to start looking at yourself with heart eyes everyday? 😍
•Why do you feel so unworthy of receiving and giving love to yourself?
•What happened in your life that shifted your belief and faith in others?
•What blocked your heart off from trusting that someone could actually love you exactly how you are?
•What made you feel like this was not possible for you anymore? What is it that makes you feel so unlovable, unworthy, unwilling to go after more?

No one creates these ideas suddenly out of thin air. Something triggered it. Figure out why and shift that belief system. You’re worth it. ❤️

Those Post-Stage Congratulations! 🎈🎉

If you've been watching Livestreams or have been involved in the bodybuilding industry AT ALL over the past few years, then you definitely know the voice and the man ! He is an NPC Judge, coach, Youtuber, and previous competitor himself, and now he is one of the voices of commentary for the livestreams. I started watching Jerry on Youtube back in like, 2015, and at the 2021 NPC Baltimore Gladiator, I was honored to be judged by him. Immediately after winning the overall at that show, I went up to him in person to thank him for his time and to get any feedback and critiques he might've had for me.

I'm always very grateful to hear the things Jerry has to say about me during commentary when I'd be posing on stage. It's important to hear and listen to feedback and critiques as a competitor. This past show, I stepped on stage with a whole new look, fullness, and vibe and it was something that I feel helped me stand out. Between Prejudging and Finals, Jerry had some very nice things to say to help me stay focused and keep my head in the game for the Overall, and upon winning 1st place in my class, he came up to me after finals with a big hug and congratulations. I KNOW my journey to Pro started with my overall win last March in Baltimore, which was a 1 point decision, and it really means so much to have someone like Jerry see my progress and improvements over the years and ability to make something of nothing all on my own. Thanks for this snap in the moment! And thank you Jerry for all you do for us as competitors and for the sport itself! I'm looking forward to making good on your feedback from Jr Nationals and really making some waves on the !

NEW IFBB BIKINI PROS.

Hundreds of girls showed up yesterday, all looking incredible and working equally hard to earn the prestigious IFBB PRO title. But only 8 can walk away with the pro card at and it was such an honor to share this moment with these amazing women who I got to meet and get to know a little more about yesterday backstage while waiting for the overall.

is only 18 YEARS OLD AND JUST GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOL! She is the gorgeous little babe standing next to me in the red suit. She told me she watches my Youtube and it motivated her for this show so to stand there together as champions was amazing!!

If I can say anything to the athletes who didn't get the placing they wanted this weekend it is this- KEEP. SHOWING. UP. AND, NEVER. STOP. IMPROVING.

This is the sport of bodyBUILDING. Not bodyDIETING.
Very few people can walk into a National show and go pro on their first try. This was my 4th national show in exactly 1 year, and I had no idea what this journey would look like when I competed at Jr Nationals last year. Leaving with a broken toe and an upper respiratory infection, then placing my worst ever a few weeks later at USAs really shifted my perception of how I need to go into shows mentally, and if it wasn't for those 3 shows that didn't go my way last year, I never would've learned everthing I needed to know to come into this show this year and get through everything I did and be able to get on stage just 10 hours later and win. EXPERIENCE GOT ME HERE. Talent is everywhere in this sport. Beautiful women with outrageous bodies are commonplace, this is the point of the sport. So if seeing someone who looks good is gonna affect you personally, don't get into bodybuilding. BUT if you can understand and know you look great AND SO DOES SHE, then you will get far. You're your biggest competition, nobody else. You just need to be better than your previous "best." And that means never stopping, never settling.

Because we get into bodybuilding yes, to fulfill a personal need, but also to inspire other people and show them what's truly possible if you have a goal and stay relentless. I never saw myself as one of the popular people, and I don't need millions of people to simply know I exist. But what I do want is the few people whose paths I do get to come across to be able to inspire and change their life in even just a small way. If I can make an impact on just a few people and change what they believe is possible for themselves and their life and circumstances, then I know I am doing what God put me on this earth to do. Inspire, motivate, and help create.

MENTAL HEALTH RANT BELOW:
Life can be really hard right? We've pretty much all had some event that came in unexpectedly and shook up what we once believed to be true about life, love, family, friends, whatever. But life puts us through situations and events to make us better on the other end and help us fulfill our life's destiny.

We all have a reason we are here on Earth living through this human experience at this exact time. If you're not philosophical enough to understand that, and you just believe you're here to breathe, eat, sleep and die, you've lost the plot. Life is about so much more than just EXISTING.

So if you're someone who's been through some stuff in life, but instead of learning from it and allowing those experiences to make you stronger, you went the opposite direction and are living as a victim of life everyday, let me ask you: what is the point of that? What is the purpose of acting like the tragedy just occurred today? We don't continue behaviors that don't give us some sort of payoff or reward. So, is it really true that you stay living as a victim because the attention you get from people's sympathy and support feels better than nothing at all? Have you ever even thought about it like that?

Isn't it wild that some people would rather continuously relive through the darkest and saddest moments in their life time and time again just to receive the social currency (attention) they want, instead of just letting it go and truly finding something that will make you happy for real?

We shouldn't have to trick our brain into producing happy chemicals through sadness. Whether you want to admit it or not, if anything I'm saying resonates, you should really do some true inner work and find out why you're letting this cycle continue in your life and allowing those who hurt you to still have the power? Every time you move through life with the mindset of "it never works out for me", "someones always out to get me", "i can never get ahead", you take all the responsibility off yourself and your personal decisions and place it on the people around you. Is that the kind of person you want to be? Is that who you really are?

Think about it.

Since this story got so much good feedback and appreciation yesterday, I decided to turn it into a little post so you guys can share as you like.

I'll never forget the first time I saw and tried on my first competition bikini. MAN were those bottoms small! And to think I even had larger cut bottoms at that time than I do now lol

It's definitely not for the faint of heart, and there's a reason why they say less than 1% of the population will ever stand on stage and do this. Because it's not easy, it takes guts, time and patience, determination, dedication and lots of self-preservation.

So if you think bikini or wellness girls are standing around taking pics of our glutes because we desperately need your male attention, you're entirely wrong. This is a selfish sport, and I promise you I could care less about your judgements about my photos. Because I know plenty of people in the sport who both understand and appreciate the progress photos, because they know just how hard I've worked to get here.

I promise you, if you're one of the people out there hating on competitors because of the photos we post, then that's got a lot more to do with your mindset and insecurities than it does with us.

Watching someone in full control of their life & body can be a huge trigger for someone totally out of control of theirs. They may choose to lash out to make themselves temporarily feel better while trying to bring you down. F**k them.

They aren't there with you when you're dripping sweat in the gym. They aren't there with you when you're doing an hour on the stairs. They aren't there with you when you're eating out of your tupperware at a family dinner.

At the end of the day, if you're competing for anyone or anything but yourself, you'll lose every time. Don't prep because of the attention you may get online. Don't prep as a way to lose the weight you've struggled with your entire life. Don't prep as a way to check something off your bucket list. This isn't a hot air balloon ride. THIS IS BODYBUILDING.

HEADS UP: These diets ain't working for you babe.

Maybe you've had some success in the past on a specific "diet." Perhaps you tried low or no carbs, or you cut your fats down to nothing. There are multiple different "dieting" methods that are out there, but one thing remains true for almost all of them. IF YOU CAN'T FOLLOW THEM FOREVER, THEY AREN'T SUSTAINABLE.

The biggest problem people face when trying to lose weight is the fact that they might find some success at first, but immediately after returning to normal eating again, they suddenly blow up and usually gain even more weight than they lost.

This also creates a lot of mental disorder and distress because you find yourself feeling hopeless, weak, powerless, hungry, confused, and frustrated. You want the damn body fat to stay off so bad! But you also want to eat with your family and go out for events occasionally. And you see other people do it, but you just don't know why you can't be that lucky.

YOU CAN. But it's going to be a journey.

You have to eventually come to terms with the fact that without someone throwing a diet in your face, you really have no understanding of nutrition.

Many people get lost in the fitness = health = fitness cycle. But healthy foods aren't always the best for fat loss. The bare minimum knowledge most people hold is that if they "eat clean" they will lose weight. That may be true, because clean foods are typically much less calorie dense than processed, but you can still be going over your calories with clean foods and still not see any impact.

The best thing you can do for yourself is get out of denial and quit telling yourself you "know what to do, you just gotta do it." You don't.

Because if you keep defaulting back to the diet that worked one time 4 years ago, you really have no clue what to do. Learn about nutrition. Learn about macros. Learn how to create meals YOU ENJOY that fit into your macros. Or else, you're going to find yourself in this place again and again. Be ok trying something different. Be ok learning something new.

If you've been holding yourself back and disguising it with lame excuses, it's time to really start showing up for yourself and take responsibility for your life. Continuing on doing the same old s**t that landed you here in the first place and expecting somethign different is literally the definition of insanity.

Instead lets get you some insane focus, insane consistency, insane understanding and belief in yourself and you'll be shocked at how far you can go. I'm not an anomaly. I don't have anything in my life that you don't too...

Throughout the past few months getting back to my passion in the fitness community, I realize now more than ever that people out there are incredibly misinformed and mislead in regards to what it takes to get in shape.

Anyone who knows me knows I’m not a bulls**tter and I don’t lie about what it actually requires to become more active and fit and make it a part of your life. I do this because I love the game. It’s instilled in me. I was born with it. But I realize that some people are not, but they might want to be. So that’s where I want to come in.

Studying and getting my Nutritionist Certification is just one way I want to be able to help people. But fitness goes beyond physicality. It also includes mental fitness, and that’s where most people fall off the plan.

Part of getting my domain is so I can refer people to a main point to get all the fitness AND mindset help they want so they can finally turn their “I’ll start tomorrow” into “I started today.”

It will be a few weeks still (maybe less knowing me) until the site is live, but I just wanted to announce that there will be things coming, and it’s all simply because I love this industry and I want to see anyone struggling learn how to stay on track and set themselves straight, once and for all.
