So I’m attending a webinar: Personal Trainer Programming. Yup - I keep my cert current whether I’m training clients or not. Have to keep that education fresh and relevant. Make sure your trainer is certified by a reputable or wizard on and has a CURRENT certification.

BTW - Instagram is not a certified training organization lol

On the left is 5 lbs of muscle. On the right is 5 lbs of fat. One is compact, lean and a furnace to torch calories. The other requires you to invest in Spanx ( 😉 )and is not great for overall health. One does NOT weigh more than the other. They just have totally different functions and present differently in your body.

Work on building that lean muscle mass! You will burn calories even at rest and your clothes will fit better.

So this week while on vacation from my “day” job I have been working on finishing up my continuing education units (CEUs) to maintain my personal training certification. I’ve dabbled in fitness a long time but I have officially been a CPT for 10 years.

Make sure your trainer is (1) verified through a reputable organization, (2) keeps that cert current, (3) can produce proof of said cert if you want to see it and (3) also has a current cert in CPR/AED/First Aid (because life sometimes happen).

Here’s to another 10 years!

Why does pro fitness training have to cost?

Because fitness pros spend resources (time, $, brain cells) to stay current to better serve our clients and population(s). If your trainer/instructor isn’t learning and growing - neither are you!
