Out behind Whistler Mountain, past the ski boundary area are a number of meadows and ridges known as Musical Bumps. The area offers great touring day trips from the resort, mostly simple terrain with manageable avalanche risks. A 10km ski out that is a summer time hiking trail brings you right back to the base of Whistler Village and multiple lifts back up the resort, or to the apres-ski bars and restaurants if you've missed the last chairs up for the day.
