Great last two days with my good friend Tom from Naples Florida. Scalloping one day then redfishing the next . Like usual all fishing has a story . First day rain but managed to find the scallops second day out in the morning storm cell to the north storm cell to the south they decided to have a date. We got dumped on had to go in . We decided to go out in the afternoon after some hot showers . This time we brought rain gear .Surely the rain passed oh no it got us again for about 15 minutes but with rain gear on we toughened up it passed and we caught some nice redfish . My dear friend from grammar school and my old hunting and fishing buddy came to town to visit . Got him on some scallops , they were thick could have filled 10. Gallons but we only took 5 gallons . Normally I have the scallops shucked for me but this time I did myself . Have a whole lot of respect for our local shuckers . Time consuming plus I can see when you get a small one not worth the time or effort. Fortunately most were all good size . I baked them broiled a bit in butter garlic white wine and sprinkled some breadcrumbs on top. Only 2 weeks left call to get some yourself 239-293-7743 I will get you on some . How about that for a birthday party on the water. Norman and his girlfriend catching some dinner and enjoying his birthday. Big thanks toCabins On The Corner Steinhatchee for introducing us . This was our second time out fishing together. Great place to stay like that saying goes if you know you know the banana bread is amazing. We caught trout , redfish, bluefish, black bass, some sharks and a stingray plus grunts, ladyfish as well awesome day . Still some time to scallop fish , kayak fishing or rentals plus some regular old fishing . Family or friends I am ready . Call 239-293-7743
