WE CAN EFFECT CHANGE!!! Many statements were made the past week from affiliates around the world. Bold, scary, inspiring and most importantly, meaningful. On Sunday, Capital sent a letter to CrossFit HQ asking for extreme change and action to create a path forward. We asked 1) That Greg Glassman step down as CEO 2) A diversity program is created to bring to light the injustice POC and minorities face in this hostile world and to effect change to remedy that 3) In a more casual tone, eat some humble pie and fight to get their affiliates back

We know many affiliates in our industry have already set their path forward, and we do not judge any actions taken in the interest of their communities. We're sure their decisions moving forward will be in the same interest and we are still here to support and build our health and fitness community however we can!

While this is just a start, it was the step in the right direction in our humble opinion. We believe the fight against racism, hate and prejudice requires change. While the act of disassociation can be a powerful statement, changing the views and educating those who may not see the light is the ultimate goal. We will continue to fight and demand for change in the name of the oppressed, while maintaining our mission of providing a safe, fun and effective training environment in our all-inclusive community.

CrossFit is just a name. We will continue to hold CrossFit HQ accountable going forward and our decision to renew our affiliation will be a reflection of their ACTIONS, more than words could ever carry. To our community, nothing changes, we are here for you now, we are here for you always. Much love to all and hopes of brighter days in the future.

Our affiliates around the world have worked too hard to build such wonderful, inclusive communities to be tarnished by such remarks. As we explore our options moving forward, please know the commitment to our community, our beliefs and our mission remain unwavering. In the meantime, we call upon CrossFit HQ, CrossFit Games, CrossFit Training, its sponsors and their athletes/staff to restructure their leadership and align their views with the community and affiliates they are alienating. We don’t need or want more division in the world we live in. We hope we can move forward together in the common goal of health and fitness and save the current state of CrossFit. If not, Capital will always put the members of our community first and will not align itself in association which will tarnish our mission and commitment. Ball is in your court CrossFit, do the right thing.

***Phase 1 Reopening Update***

Capital Loudoun/Dulles is excited to announce we will be reopening our doors Monday June 1st under Phase 1 Guidelines. Classes will be 30mins long and held outside in a safe and fun atmosphere. Each class has a 10 member max but we will do our best to spread each group out throughout our parking lot so everyone can participate in class. If you need to use the restrooms you are welcome too but nothing more than that during Phase 1. We will also have sanitation stations set up for your convenience. Remember this is only temporary. With each new week we will hope to be able to increase class sizes, use more equipment and eventually move indoors. Can’t wait to see everyone training again real soon!!!

***Loudoun Members Reopening update***

We were really hoping to reopen our doors today but Gov. Northam delayed phase one until May 29th. Hopefully, Monday June 1st we will be able to host classes again in a safe and fun atmosphere. **Loudoun/Dulles Location Update** We are starting the phased one re-opening as permitted by the State in a safe and controlled manner on, Monday May 18th.
