How Many Calories Do You Burn Lifting Weights?

Great article that shows the benefits of weight lifting. Lifting weights increases your bmr (basil metabolic rate) which is the basic calories you burn by just being alive. When that’s higher it allows you to eat more without gaining weight!

You don't always need an hour to work out. Actually short bursts of exercise are more beneficial than prolonged periods of cardio. You can even burn more calories doing just 20 minutes of tababa than 45 minutes on the treadmill because you will continue to burn calories as your body works to repair itself. Tabata is 20 seconds of hard work then resting for 10 and repeating 3-4x. Give this workout a try the next time your short on time.
