What he did: Throughout my internship I took part in many different tasks. I got to help with many of the changes that the gym was going through including a lot of remodeling. I met with any new possible members, talked to them about anything that had to do with the facility with the hope that they would sign up. A part of running a gym especially during COVID-19 is cleanliness, therefore I had a routine every time I was there to make sure everything was up to par and members had the tools to stay sanitary. I also assisted with some of the gym’s social media presence like Instagram posts or gym competitions.

What he liked: I often love the vibes of gyms but especially Habit Fitness. The atmosphere is like no other I’ve been a part of; the camaraderie is strong, the members are more like friends and the gym itself supports that with a fitting environment. I enjoyed building relationships with members over my time there, some of them are my friends now. My favorite thing was to watch the gym evolve, I interned shortly after the gym was established, so much change was happening during my time there.

Future Dream Job: My future dream job is to open a health club revolving around connecting members to mother nature while teaching them active outdoors skills like mountain biking and rock climbing.

HERE'S A LITTLE SOMETHING HE WANTED TO SAY:

Hes down like 40lbs and a way fu***ng stronger.

Hi I’m Cameron, I’m 19 and I’m a musician. I spend my time working, hanging out with friends, gaming, or working out. I started lifting when I was 11 or 12 with my dad but wasn’t consistent until I turned 16 or 17. Last year around this time I made the switch to habit. I would never go back to anything else. The equipment is great and you have everything you need, but what makes habit habit is the community. This is the best gym community ever, period. Everyone is here to lift heavy circles, get gains and have fun doing it. Everyone here is positive and happy to help if you have questions, need a spot, or need advice on lifting/diet. There’s no where better to be. If you’re thinking about switching, stop thinking and make it happen. You won’t regret it.

Its fun. Community and everyone was laughing and planning to do cut off ones and it just feels good that everyone joins in and wants to do fun community focused stuff.

Sounds a bit cliche, but the gym (Even the gyms I didn't like being at) was always home to me.

Didn't like my job?
I always knew that after the s**tty day at work working for someone else I got to work on myself after.

Depressed, unhappy, unsure, whatever I was feeling I knew that either when I woke up early, or it was after work I always had something to look forward to.

I was always excited and looked forward to going to the gym, but never had a GYM itself that I was excited to go to. it was always just to lift in general, not because of the gym.

Its still early, but the idea of HABIT is to change that.

I want HABIT to be a place people are excited to go to, yes because they're excited to lift but also excited to be at HABIT.

Nowhere near perfect.

But big plans for the future.

Doubling in size next summer.

All new equipment (and maybe a few badass older pieces)

And much more.

But I like new gym stuff and am bad with 💰 and sometimes like you guys so....

1. Multiple new, more expensive than they should be, cable attachments.
2. Texas Deadlift Bar
3. Multi-grip bar for bench, rows, etc.
4. Brand new rogue kettlebells including a fu***ng 203lb kettlebell because f**k it who else has it. WE DO.
5. Shoulder saver bench pad
6. lots of new bands and pairs of bands
7. more foam rollers
8. replaced cables because we like em smooth
9. working on the new water fountain and bottle filler.
10. more/new charge stations for phones n stuff
11. Some cosmetic stuff being done. thinking about tearing out the ceiling. painting office. hanging more stuff. maybe move some stuff around.

FIRST OFF I WANT TO HIGHLIGHT VICKI. SHES SASSY AND COMPLAINS SOMETIMES BUT GETS S**T DONE. Since starting up again shes down over 20lbs, recently had surgery on her knee and has gained back strength and confidence while putting on a lot of muscle.

In one way or another, everyone benefits from personal training.
If you're brand new, clueless as f**k and have no direction, just want the extra push, or even consistent and crushing goals but want to learn a bit more the right trainer can help.

Invest in yourself. learn as much as you can, as early as you can.

Paused and hips didn't move TOO MUCH. Not even sure on my set up anymore but f**k it.

2nd time benching in 4 weeks.
241 BW after the lift with food in me and fully dressed. 15 lbs lighter in than 4 weeks ago.
Not alot of sleep food or lifting.

My mind is focused on the gym, members, and leaving myself behind.

I'm going to do my best to focus on myself, as well as the gym and all of you.
