Howdy guys! Sorry for the radio silence, we meet again Sunday at 2PM at Stillwater Martial Arts!

Last two weeks I sprained my shoulder, got the flu, and the fuel pump in my wife’s car went out haha. Always one thing after the other, super excited to get back in the gym.

It's been quiet here for a bit as work continues on various projects.

I just submitted The Illustrated Meyer to the printer, and once I get proofs back, pre-orders will open up. I was really hoping to get high-res scans of the Moscow Meyer for this book so I could choose my favorite version of each painted print, but the Russians say that it was only scanned in low resolution and there is no possibility of getting better scans, so we're stuck with Leipzig only.

The Goliath Commentary Volume is also coming very soon, but not quite done yet.

Project I’ve been working on! Tabletops are one of my other hobbies as many of you know. Lots of other great material in here covering a lot of scenarios (Trenchpunk is my favorite), this was a lot of fun to make. Best of all, it’s pay what you want so you can grab it absolutely free.

Often, people have a misconception that rapiers couldn’t cut at all. In fact, many could cut extremely well as this folio shows. Some rapiers were very specialized at thrusting. The lack of typology on these swords means a lot of nuance is always required when talking about “rapiers” as a broad term.

Class resumes 2pm this Sunday, Stillwater Martial Arts! Sorry for the brief hiatus

New budget maille straight from Amazon of all places! Pretty impressed, last pieces of the kit coming together slowly but surely.

Often we can lose detail in the handwork and what the cool swords are doing, but many of the treatises hold golden information on footwork.

Particularly, see how the left has his hips opened, foot turned out, as opposed to the right fighters' closed hips. This affects the ways in which you can generate power, and where you can move and still have stability.

I'll see you guys tomorrow, Sunday at 2PM as usual!

We've been playing around with mixed weapons recently, quite anachronistic but a lot of fun!

Cool still Jamey took of the tiny buckler doing its job haha. Come join us Sundays at 2PM if you're interested!

Some goofy stuff happens in sparring, and this panel from Mair reminds us that well… it’s historical lol.

No class this Sunday, we will resume the 11th at 2pm! Happy New Year!

Johann Georg Pascha with some… optimistic fighting against multiple opponents. Jagerstock is a cool weapon.

See you guys Sunday at 2 for some dagger fighting!

Lesson plan for next week, let me know if you guys would find this helpful! I generally organize these a week in advance based on feedback from the last class.

Thanks to all the new students! It's really exciting to have some of the largest classes we've had in years. Thanks for bearing with me as I recover from an annoying joint injury.
