The fact that you are even given the opportunity to complain is exactly why you shouldn’t be complaining.

Is it because of money 💰or is it time ❓

We all have the same amount of time in a day, it is how we decide to use it that matters

💰 Some friends are going out for dinner 🍽 - you spend on average $50...
💰 You find a good deal on an something that you really wanted, 9 times out of 10 you buy it...
💰 Something happens to your car 🚘, you always find a way to come up with 💵

These were only 3 examples, I could list so many more...

But you know exactly we’re I am going with this ......

More often or not we all have some EXCUSE for something that we are afraid of .......

But this is an EXCUSE to not get in shape and take care of yourself.🤷🏼‍♀️

Here is a question for you
* Since when did it take not MONEY to lose weight?
* Did it not take money (a lot of it) to gain all that weight?🤔
* Did it not take money (a lot of it) to keep buying clothes over and over again?🤔
* Did it not take money (a lot of it) to eat out and eat like crap everyday?🤔


A lot of us don’t take the time for ourselves & it could be that you have a child, you work all the time. Did you ever think of the long haul, about what you may be doing to your body

* diabetes🤔
* hypertension
* high cholesterol
* high blood sugar levels


I can relate to all of theses things - before I started here, I was a single parent just trying to make ends meet. I had just enough money to pay my bills & that was it. I needed something in my life. I didn’t know what it was until I started here that I needed to change everything in my life. My mind set, my health, I also had to think about my son & where I want to be in 5 years, 10 years from now. How can I be a role model to him? I had to make some sacrifices. I had to prioritize what was most important to me. I was also a smoker who smoked over a pack & a half a day !! After I stopped, I realize wow I spent all the $$$ !!!

I spent the last of my paycheck on a membership that I had because I knew I needed to change. I started here about 10years ago & I quit smoking a little after I started. I could go on & on.

I turned my life around in so many ways - I now have more confidence, I lost weight, I did the unthinkable - I ran a half marathon!!!
Now I get to help change people lives, & it makes me feel AMAZING when I get that chance.

Honey Garlic Shrimp


1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce (I use reduced sodium)
1 Tablespoon jarred minced garlic or 2 teaspoons fresh*
optional: 1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
1 lb medium uncooked shrimp, peeled & deveined
2 teaspoons olive oil
optional: chopped green onion for garnish


1️⃣Whisk the honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger (if using) together in a medium bowl.

2️⃣Place shrimp in a large zipped-top bag or tupperware. Pour 1/2 of the marinade mixture on top, give it all a shake or stir, then allow shrimp to marinate in the refrigerator for 15 minutes or for up to 8-12 hours. Cover and refrigerate the rest of the marinade for step 3. (Time-saving tip: while the shrimp is marinating, steamed broccoli and microwaved some quick brown rice.)

3️⃣Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Place shrimp in the skillet. (Discard used marinade.) Cook shrimp on one side until pink– about 45 seconds– then flip shrimp over. Pour in remaining marinade and cook it all until shrimp is cooked through, about 1 minute more.
Serve shrimp with cooked marinade sauce and a garnish of green onion. The sauce is excellent on brown rice and steamed veggies on the side.
