U15 Boys 2012 US Youth Soccer National Championship Finalist Previously known as Concordia Royal, this team officially joined the Challenger Crew Jr.
organization in 2011. The team trains 2-3 times per week and competes in the Midwestern Regional League Premier Division, the annual US Youth Soccer Championship series, and selected premier soccer tournaments. The team is coached and managed by Gary (Gaz) Gilmour and Sam Grida, respectively.
Game officially over -- Final score 0-2.
Surprising change of events -- turns out the game will be re-started to complete the last 4-5 minutes now that storm has passed. The teams have returned to the field, score 0-2.
Game 3 ended a few minutes early due to lightning. Final score Challenger 0, CUP 2. Group play results for Challenger Crew Jr. Black is 1-1-1. Coming home tonight.
At halftime Challenger is down 0-1 to the CUP Crew team. CUP scored late in first half on a set play.
Challenger wins game today vs OFC Elite (NE) by score of 4-1. Goals by Julian, Dom, Trevor, and Justin. Chicago Fire (who we tied yesterday) defeats Cup Crew Jr. A win tomorrow is crucial.
Apparently the start time for today's game has been pushed back to 5:45 PM (central time) due to rain earlier today.
After giving up the first goal to Chicago Fire, Challenger fought back to level the game 1-1 which ended up being the final score. Tomorrow the boys take on OFC Elite from NE at 5 PM Eastern time. They need a solid W tomorrow if they are to win the group.

the Boys travel to Des Moines, IA late Friday to compete in the Region II Championships. The schedule/results will be posted online at this site. First game is Saturday morning, 10 AM local time.
