📍KC Trails - Palm City, FL… finally gets its FULL Daisy review! 🌼🥾

This trail has a little more meaning to us than most.💗

The first time we hiked KC Trails, Hiking Miss Daisy didn’t even exist. On the drive home that day, the idea popped into my head…and somehow that one little thought turned into all of this. 🌼❤️

And after all the trails we’ve explored and reviewed since then, somehow we never came back and gave KC Trails a proper full review. So we decided it was time!

🌳 Shade: 3/5 — There’s some nice shade along the trails, but with Florida’s sun, early morning is definitely your best bet.

🥾 Difficulty: 1/5 — Easy trails that are great for a relaxed walk and plenty of sniffing along the way.

🐾 Dog-Friendly: 5/5 — Plenty of room to explore and lots for four-legged trail inspectors to investigate. 🌼

🚗 Drive: 3/5 — An easy option for us when we want to get Daisy out on a trail without making a whole day of it.

🅿️ Parking: Plenty of parking with two trailheads.

🚻 Facilities: None, so plan accordingly.

🐴 Bonus: Equestrian-friendly trails, too!

There are several trails to choose from, with pine-lined paths, boardwalks, a lookout tower and plenty of Florida scenery along the way. 🌲🐢

🌼 Daisy’s verdict: There’s a reason this trail started something. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Funny how you can head out for an ordinary hike…and come home with an idea that changes where all your future hikes will take you. 🥾🌼

What makes a trail Daisy Approved? 🌼🥾

Turns out, Daisy has developed some real standards. 😂

A great trail isn’t just about getting from Point A to Point B. It’s about having plenty to sniff, interesting terrain to explore, a little shade from that Florida sun, and—if she’s really lucky—a place to get those paws wet. 💦🐾

Throw in some wildlife spotting and a trail where dogs are welcome, and we’ve got ourselves a pretty happy Potcake. 🌿🐢

Of course, every trail doesn’t have ALL of these things…and somehow Daisy still manages to find something worth investigating. 😂

Before there was Hiking Miss Daisy, there was this—the very first Florida State Park we took Daisy to. 🥾🌿 We had no idea this would eventually become her entire life. 😂🌼

📍 Savannas Preserve State Park — Port St. Lucie, FL

🌳 Shade: 1/5
This is open scrubland, so don’t expect much protection from the Florida sun. Definitely one we’d save for a cooler day!

🥾 Difficulty: 2/5
The trails themselves are fairly easy, but there can be muddy and swampy areas, especially after rain.

🐾 Dog-Friendly: 5/5
Daisy approved! Just remember the usual Florida precautions—heat, wildlife and plenty of water.

🚗 Drive: 3/5
Savannas Preserve has multiple access areas spread throughout the region, so your drive will depend on which part you’re visiting.

🅿️ Parking: Large parking lot with a small entrance fee. We use our Florida State Parks annual pass.

🚻 Facilities: Yes!
