1. Not eating breakfast (or eating an unhealthy breakfast that fails to include a complex carb and a protein).
2. Not hydrating enough.
3. Drinking too much caffeine and not replenishing fluids.
4. Eating too many simple sugars--simple sugars cause an instant elevation in blood sugar followed by a dramatic dip (accompanied by fatigue).
5. Not eating enough complex carbs (the kind that releases energy slowly and keep blood sugar on an even keel).
6. Not eating enough or failing to eat small, frequent meals (the best way to keep blood sugar and energy levels steady is to eat often).
