Operating as usual
How about them Chiiiiiefs. #WorldChamps. Y'all ready for Mahomes to claim SB Ring #2?!?!
We at Chiefs LA wanted to give you an update about this upcoming season.
We are happy to announce Jalapeño Pete's (Arrowhead West) along with other Chiefs LA bar/restaurants will be open and ready on Chiefs game days for anyone who wants to come. They have a lot of outdoor seating and tv's. They also have a second outdoor location close by in Hollywood called The Berkshire House. The Berkshire House has outdoor seating as well and is a bit larger so it will be easy to watch the game and still maintain social distance. You can see a few pics of the locations in the post.
!!! In the meantime - they are open for business every day so show some support if you can!!!!
No matter where you live in the SoCal region there are some options to watch the game socially distanced outside at Chiefs LA - Huntington Beach Chapter, Chiefs LA - Inland Empire (IE) Chapter, Chiefs LA - Beach Cities Chapter, Chiefs LA - San Gabriel Valley (SGV) Chapter, and Chiefs LA - Santa Clarita Chapter Please do so safely! Best to check their respective pages for more info.
With that being said, as of right now Chiefs Los Angeles is not officially hosting, organizing, or otherwise responsible for any game day watch parties. Activities such as the raffle give away, sharing the microphone, and selling merchandise won’t be available given safety and social distancing guidelines. Chiefs LA simply can’t condone or accept the extra liability and personal risks associated with sponsoring any event or gathering at this time.
As fans it will be your personal decision and your own personal responsibility as far as the COVID-19 risks go whether you want to watch the game at the bar. We know there are a variety of opinions about COVID-19 and the risks involved. Chief LA wants to adhere to the guidelines as recommended by state officials and the health department.
So, while you may see some Chiefs LA representatives enjoying the game at JP's, we won’t be there in any official capacity.
Having had multiple visits and discussions with JP’s this is what we can report.
They will NOT be accepting any reservations so please plan to arrive 30min prior to the game with your party intact. Please don’t arrive before then as long lines will be difficult for them to manage.
They will not seat partial tables. So if you are a table of 6 have everyone there at the same time to be seated.
They will be offering valet parking again this year.
All tables are outside and 6 feet away. They have placed many more TV’s outside, so don’t worry about not being able to see the game. All waitstaff are wearing masks.
If you want to use the restroom inside JP’s you must wear a mask, no mask is required while you are eating.
We LOVE the Chiefs community here in Los Angeles and know that there are fans who want to watch the game at their familiar Chiefs bar. This decision was not made lightly but we feel it is the safest decision to be made in accordance with the wishes of the health department and local municipalities.
As things evolve - we will let you know of any changes. It is our desire to RESUME hosting and promoting all activities (raffle, merchandise, etc) once it is safe for US and YOU. As for other Chiefs LA Chapters - they are independent of us and may or may not be organizing. Please check with their individual pages for further information.
If you are interested in watching in Studio City or Hollywood here are the addresses:
11618 Ventura Blvd, Studio City, CA 91604
143 N La Brea Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90036
We agree. We know that there's room to grow and to change.
Even though old habits die hard and die hard traditions are the backbone to amazing memories. It's time to recognize that we should be listening to the source of the culture that we imitate.
We're sure all of us would say that our team name and inspired traditions and chants are meant to celebrate and revere the Native American indigenous culture. However, in some ways it depicts a picture of another culture in ways they might not and don't appreciate and bring them feelings of shame and dishonor. That matters now more than ever before. It isn't up to us to decide or judge how they might feel or judge the different views about this subject that exist. If the Chiefs organization can recognize this then Chiefs LA certainly can agree to follow suit.
2020 has been full of life and community based changes and most of them have felt like ripping a band-aid made of duct tape off a wound. But even though it’s normal to feel resistant to change, we believe that we will be able to move forward and find new ways to show our fanatic loyalty to our team. At Chiefs Los Angeles we know that the pride that runs in the veins of our fans is diehard and deep as it comes. The memories we have of all of us together, hoping, cheering, singing, First-Downing, the close calls and most of all, THE WINNING OF THE SUPER BOWL are memories that are truly cherished AND they are the same ones that we will all have moving forward.
The rest - the mimicry of a Florida State Seminole and Atlanta Brave chant from the 90's, is something that we can live without. After all - it's not even original.
What really matters to us? For one - we are SO looking forward to this season of football especially in these strange times. All summer long we've been re-watching all of last years games - especially one in particular . We've been reading every word about the contract negotiations and our new 1/2 BILLION DOLLAR MAN. PLUS JONES?!? Not to mention all the Tyreek racing videos, the Kelce antics, and the noble pursuit of LDT (we love what he's doing, but he'll definitely be missed.)
CHIEFS FANS most importantly we are so looking forward to another season of passion filled Sundays - we miss you and we miss football. T-MINUS 3 WEEKS!! We know this year is going to look and feel a lot different, both watching the games and how we watch it. Announcement about this season and how to watch are coming soon! Stay tuned for an update about Jalapeno Pete’s and Chiefs LA!
Lastly - we beg people not to make this a debate in the comments. If you do - stay respectful to all our fellow Chiefs LA fans please. Also - if you agree - please share and repost.

🔥🏈 SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS!!!
I don't know about you but I can't wipe this smile off my face and in every in-between moment today I keep thinking THE CHIEFS ARE SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS!
The entire team believed and fought, and NEVER GAVE UP! They showed us what Champions are made of.
💪🏾💪🏿💪 LETS GO CHIEEEEEFS!
In the prophetic words of the Rolling Stones, "If you start me up I'll never stop" and "You make a grown man cry" I can say that A. We will never stop believing in this team.
Last night I caught myself tearing up and saw so many others wiping away some emotional tears. When we played our 'Hey' song for the final time after the game was over, that's when it hit me. I have been waiting for this all my life. I looked around and saw so many happy and familiar faces around me....ecstatic chants of joy, hugs of accomplishment, and the most satisfying high-fives I've ever felt.
I'm so extremely proud of our Chiefs and so excited for what's to come. The dynasty is beginning!!
This year, watching Chiefs LA expand (and what a first year for all our new chapters!) showed me what a special family we have here in LA. The huge amount of passion shines through everything and it's all possible bc of the dedicated group of folks that took it upon themselves to find a place for fanatics all across the Greater LA area to call home on Chiefs Sundays. Huge shout out to all the leaders of our Chapters -

Patrick Mahomes is already a legend and I can't wait to see his mythic abilities dominate for the next decade. And no one deserves more credit than Andy Reid. He has finally proven just how tough and brilliant he is.
For Chiefs LA - the main chapter owes a HUGE THANK YOU to Jalapeño Pete's. They have been so welcoming and accommodating to our KC ways.
