Because those little hands are ALL OVER IT. 😂
They crawl on the floor. Sit on it. Roll on it. Build on it. Drop toys on it. Pick those toys back up and, despite everyone's best efforts, occasionally put them directly into their mouths.
Keeping outdoor shoes off our play floor helps us keep everything a little cleaner for all those tiny hands and knees.
Kids need grip socks, grown-ups need socks, and shoes can stay in the café area. 🧦🌿

Have older kiddos too? Come on in! We’re open for regular Open Play from 9:15 AM–3 PM today.

No rushing. No agenda. Just come play, sip something good, and stay awhile. 💛

🍃 A little schedule update for this week at Jungle Jamz!

We’ll be CLOSED Monday for Labor Day and CLOSED Saturday, September 12 while we’re out at Taste of Suffolk! 🎉 Come find Jungle Jamz at the festival — we can’t wait to see so many familiar faces out in the community!

But there’s still plenty of time to come PLAY this week! 💚

One of our favorite things about watching kids play is seeing what they turn ordinary things into.
A block becomes a phone.
The playhouse becomes a restaurant.
A cushion becomes a boat.
And suddenly there’s an entire storyline happening that the grown-ups were definitely not invited to 😂
That kind of pretend play is doing a whole lot more than keeping them busy. They’re creating, problem solving, communicating and figuring out the world around them.
Meanwhile, we’re just over here wondering why we spent money on toys when apparently a cardboard box would’ve done the trick. 😂

Sometimes you plan an outing because your kids need to get out of the house.
And sometimes you plan an outing because YOU need to get out of the house.
They need to climb, pretend, make a friend and burn some energy.
You need coffee, another adult within speaking distance and approximately 14 minutes where nobody asks you to invent an activity.
Both are valid reasons to come play. 💛

Bring Grandma or Grandpa. Let them crawl around, build the tower, push the pretend shopping cart and get recruited into an extremely serious game of restaurant.
Mom? Grab a coffee.
Read a book. Answer emails. Doom scroll for 20 minutes. Stare peacefully into the distance.
