OPEN TO ALL PLAYERS CURRENTLY ON A ROSTER IN ENERGY CITY APA.
This Saturday at Slicks in Katy, come test yourself for a chance to represent the best players in Energy City APA in Vegas! Doors open at 10, play will start at 11. Masters for Vegas, singles format, double elimination, no handicaps!
Normal APA rules with the following exceptions, you can call the 8 instead of marking it, jump sticks are allowed, and you can do a roll out after the break in 9 ball.
Quick rule breakdown, winner of the lag picks either to break first or the format (8 or 9 ball). If 8 ball is picked first, you will play 5 games of 8 and then switch to 9 until a player has won 7 games. If 9 ball is picked first, you will play up to 8 games of 9 ball and then switch to 8 if needed until one player has won their 7 games.
$50 a person entry fee including green fee. Winner of the winners bracket and winner of the losers bracket will be the first 2 on the team and will split the whole pot. Each of the winners will pick another person that is active in Energy City APA to join their team to make the team of 4 players. The other 2 added players must pay their own way. Masters patches will be given out for 8 or 9 on the break and all break and runs.

There are several areas that are not properly marking defensive shots, I do not believe this is intentional, but believe that there is a lack of understanding as to what constitutes a defensive shot.
In short, if you are the scorekeeper and you feel that the shooter did not intend to continue shooting after their current shot, it is a defense and should be marked as such.
Anything not offense is defense, it's not about hiding the ball or making it difficult for the opponent, though that is a common goal.

FB 9-Ball Bracket - Day 2
01/04/2021
Fort Bend 8-Ball City Bracket for this weekend.
Free singles boards open to Energy City APA members, $20 entry per board for non Energy City APA members.
Saturday December 26th at Pour House. Doors open at noon, play starts at 1 or as soon as I can fill up a board.
We will be raffling off Christmas presents to all participants, even those that are not currently active in Energy City APA.
Last time we did boards we had some issues with understanding from some players, so I'll break this down a little more granular:
If you want to compete in an 8-ball board, you must currently be on an 8-ball team and have at least 10 matches in 8-ball played in the last 2 years.
If you want to compete in a 9-ball board, you must currently be on a 9-ball team and have at least 10 matches in 9-ball played in the last 2 years.
