Do not buy anything from this company. I bought 4 GIs from them over 3 months ago and they still have not arrived. He continues to ask me for a loan and more time. Beware. You may be waiting months to get your stuff or may never get it.

Helio Gracie vs. Masahiko Kimura - Colourised & Remastered.

The legendary bout between Helio & Kimura took place at Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro on October 23, 1951.

Competing in a judo gi under a ruleset that Helio called the "jiu-jitsu rule". Kimuras initial plan was to knock out Helio Gracie with a throw and was able to hit an ouchi gari, harai goshi, uchi mata and ippon seoi nage but the softness of the mats prevented a knockout.

On the mat, Kimura passed Helios guard into side control and secured a kesa gatame. Eventually, as Helio rolled and give up his back, Kimura followed and secured a yoko sankaku jime or side triangle choke. It was during this that Kimura applied enough pressure for Helios ear to begin bleeding and for him to lose consciousness but he regained it as Kimura moved to another dominant position.

Eventually, Kimura locked up a gyaku-ude-garami or Double Wrist-Lock and broke Helio Gracie's arm, as Gracie refused to tap Kimura kept cranking on the broken arm until Carlos Gracie threw in the towel and entered the mat to tap out on Kimuras back for his brother.

Kimura was declared the winner, with the move used to break Helios arm now bearing his name in jiu-jitsu circles and the match lives on in history.

The footage was pieced together from multiple sources to try and get the best quality and has been colourised and remastered. Unfortunately, the full footage of the match isn't available and was either never released, has been lost or doesn't exist.
