Broke Boiz

With heavy hearts but also full of excitement the broke bois will be heading to Texas this coming week to start our next assignment with the Air Force. We have tried to see everyone and say one last see ya later. Wanted to give one more thank you to everyone who has giving any help, advice, support over last 4 years. The memories from our Sumter friends will last a lifetime. Best of luck to all those I have raced with or beefed with! See ya later Sumter

A little bit of an off season update: As some of you know and some will just be finding out with this post… currently the 2024 Race season for the 218 crew is on hold due to me having a pending assignment that would cause us to move to Texas over the summer this year. The car is still being prepped for either to race or whatever the military has in store for Ian Benner this year stay tuned for more to come.

2 years ago already… from where it alll started. After taking some much needed down time with Sumter being off the month of September. We will be back in action 30 September at Laurens County Speedway looking to better the 5th place finish from last year. Hit some learning curve hiccups but consistently getting faster after every week. Thank you to all the support from everyone the last few years. A little re-cap of last weeks racing, car handed good and finally got a way foward with the stumbling in the motor coming out of the corner, had another solid 5th running coming to checkered flag but got hit in wheel knocking the tire almost off the rim and spinning. After a slow start to the season with a new car and a new class and working the bugs out while getting some seat time after spending the winter building sand castles in Saudi Arabia. The season is coming together a much slower pace than the last 2 seasons, but still making those “minor victories” getting steps closer to getting that first win thunderbomber. Going into this weekend we are at the mercy of the delivery company bringing us the parts needed after melting the shift cable to the frame of the car.

As some of you may know one of our own Emanuel Sergio Castro left for Turkey earlier this year. He is doing well and we are all trying to convince him that South Carolina is his home and we are waiting for his return.

A little surprise for the kids at Alice Drive Baptist Church on the last day of VBS. The theme was Ready Set Move and race cars sure can move. We hope the kids enjoyed getting to see a race car and talk to the guys.

Carolina Rams are at Advance Auto on broad st doing a car wash and fish fry. They did a great job on put Silverado!

The work never stops! We have been working hard to get the car ready for the race this weekend, unfortunately it has been canceled. Hoping the weather settles down so we can get back on the track next weekend.
