6.6 POUNDS OF LEAN TISSUE ADDED DIRECTLY TO HIS LEGS.
During our first call, Anand told me he had always been teased about his skinny legs and had never successfully added meaningful lower body mass.
I told him we were going to change that.
We used barbell squats into full range dumbbell goblet squats, reverse lunges, high repetition walking lunges across the entire length of his garage, and single leg RDLs.
Sixteen months later, Anand had added more than 13 pounds of lean tissue across his entire frame, including 6.6 pounds directly to his legs.

Anand Mehra is the Founding Partner of Forge Life Sciences, a biotech focused venture capital firm that finances and builds the companies behind new drugs.
After nearly 20 years of evaluating companies and determining whether the data supports the claim, Anand brought that same standard to his own transformation.
No guessing.
No shortcuts.
No generic plan.
Just a complete system built around training, nutrition, cardio, recovery, and objective data.
π» PHASE ONE: THE CUT
Anand reduced his body fat from 21.8% to 10.6% while simultaneously adding 6.2 pounds of lean tissue.
πΊ PHASE TWO: THE BUILD
Once he was lean, we deliberately increased his intake and shifted the objective toward maximizing muscle.
The result was another 6.8 pounds of lean tissue added.
THE COMPLETE TRANSFORMATION:
βοΈ 13 pounds of lean tissue added
π¦΅πΎ 6.6 pounds added specifically to his legs
π₯© 150 grams of protein maintained daily
ππΎ Progressive hypertrophy programming
π₯ Nutrition managed directly with our registered dietitian

What are you actually training for? π
Aesthetics? Function? Strength? Longevity?
Or some combination of all four?
There is no βbetterβ goal. There is only the goal your program is actually designed to produce.
ποΈ If aesthetics matter, training should emphasize things like symmetry, proportion, muscularity, weak-point development, conditioning, and presentation.
βοΈ If function matters, the priorities shift toward measurable qualities like strength, muscular endurance, mobility, power, and cardiorespiratory fitness.
π And if you want both?
That is where intelligent programming becomes especially important.
A hybrid program can combine:
πͺ Heavy compound lifts for strength
π― Targeted hypertrophy work for shape and proportion
β€οΈ Cardio for conditioning and long-term health
𦡠Mobility and movement quality
π Progressive overload based on your actual goals
π₯ Nutrition that supports the physique and performance outcome you want
The biggest mistake is borrowing someone elseβs program without asking whether it was built for the same destination.
Someone training for longevity should not necessarily train like a physique competitor.
Someone trying to build a highly aesthetic physique should not rely only on general βfunctionalβ workouts and expect every muscle group to develop proportionally.
And someone who wants the best of both worlds should not be forced to choose.
ββββββββββββββ
Your training should reflect your goal, your body, your starting point, and your priorities.
No judgment.
No guesswork.
No one-size-fits-all programming.
π SVNP builds individualized training and nutrition strategies around the outcome you actually want.

π₯© Protein isnβt just about how many grams you eat. Itβs also about how many calories you have to βspendβ to get those grams.
Thatβs what protein density means. π
π A food with 20g+ of protein per 100 calories gives you a much larger protein return for your calorie intake than a food where those same 20g of protein may cost you 200β300+ calories.
Why does that matter? π―
If your goal is fat loss, body recomposition, or simply hitting a higher protein target without constantly overshooting calories, keeping several high-protein-density foods stocked in your refrigerator makes the process significantly easier.
π¦ Shrimp
π Tuna
π White fish
π¦ Turkey breast
π₯ Egg whites
π₯€ Whey isolate
π Chicken breast
These foods give you more room to build meals around carbohydrates, fats, sauces, fruits, vegetables, and foods you actually enjoy while still keeping protein high.
π‘ The goal isnβt to eat nothing but βlean protein.β
The goal is to create a better nutritional foundation.
β
Stock the refrigerator with protein first.
β
Build the rest of the meal around it.
β
Make hitting your daily protein target easier.

Body recomposition = losing fat while maintaining or building muscle.
Hereβs the framework:
1. Create a moderate calorie deficit
Fat loss requires energy intake to stay below energy expenditure.
2. Keep daily movement high
Your workouts are only part of your calorie burn. Steps, standing and general activity matter.
3. Track your intake
If you are not measuring calories and macros, it is difficult to know what needs to change.
4. Resistance train progressively
Your body needs a reason to keep muscle while dieting. Maintain or improve strength, reps and training quality.
5. Eat enough protein
A practical starting range for most lifters is roughly 0.7β1.0g per lb of bodyweight per day.
6. Track more than scale weight
Watch waist circumference, photos, strength and body-composition trends.
Recomposition tends to work best for newer lifters, returning lifters and individuals with more body fat to lose. If you are already advanced and lean, separate fat-loss and muscle-building phases are often more realistic.
Calorie deficit + protein + resistance training + daily activity + consistent tracking.
