I preach this a lot but just like you, I am a real person and I'm not immune to the struggles everyone else faces with the balance of eating, family ,career. . . I am up about 11 pounds at this current time!! I'm ok with my body. Am I comfortable, no! Am I going to get back to where I feel my best at? Absolutely!! Life gets in the way. It will always get in the way. I have no excuses I ate like an as***le lol 😆 🙃 🤣

I continued my same workouts. Nothing new. This is a HUGE great example of YOU CAN'T OUT TRAIN A BAD DIET! I can attest to this.

Emotional eating is a powerful and effective way to find temporary relief from many of life’s challenges. If it didn’t work so well, no one would do it. In order to stop this cycle of emotional eating, you have to make a commitment to reach deep inside yourself to find a place of grit and strength. Let's go!!!!!! 💪💪💜💜💜

My beautiful friend posting about this trend going around on social media... hip dips... Here we go.....

Hip dips are totally normal and are nothing to be ashamed of! While the internet and social media might have you believe otherwise. I'm absolutely disgusted that we just keep finding things to hate about our bodies and ways we can fix it. Let's explain this hip dip thing. Which I have NEVER thought twice about til social media and unrealistic expectations.

The appearance of hip dips is influenced by both the structure of the pelvis and the width of the hips — as well as the amount and the distribution of both fat and muscle. Pretty much everyone has some kind of hip dip, although they are more pronounced in some others. Hip dips are more common in women due to how their hips and pelvic are structured and how their body fat is distributed.

Ladies, love the shell you were born in, our physical diversities are what make us beautiful.”

The bottom line. Hip dips are a normal part of the human body and nothing you need to get rid of. They're mostly based on your genetics and bone structure. No amount of exercise or lifestyle changes will completely get rid of them. This has to stop. Maybe spend more energy on what you love about your body insated of hating it!!!

[10/23/21]   Optimal Health Goes Way Beyond Just Weight

One of the key problems with the “calories in, calories out” way of thinking is that it doesn’t account for other health effects of foods.
Another thing to keep in mind that long-term dieting will reduce your metabolic rate.

If you were to cut calorie intake by 10%, it would only work for some time until your metabolic rate would adapt and you would stop losing. Then you would have to cut calories again, then again…Proponents of the “Calories in, Calories out” way of thinking say that the only thing that matters when it comes to weight loss is calories, disregarding completely the metabolic and hormonal impact of foods. It really goes beyond just calories in vs calories out.

[10/20/21]   With too little protein, you'll constantly feel hungry.

You can eat big meals without ever feeling full.

And because it's so important to your muscle regeneration...

You could work out for six months while seeing almost no progress.

Adding more protein into the equation changes EVERYTHING, though.

For example, it helps you:


- Stay fuller longer with fewer cravings (AKA less need for snacking)

- Build lean muscle

- Stabilize your blood sugar

- Develop stronger nails

- Grow stronger hair


Protein is amazing, and if experience has taught me anything...

You're probably not getting enough of it! I know some day's I don't 😏

[10/15/21]   Fitness is a major part of my value system. It's not something that I'm willing to eschew, no matter how full my life or complex my schedule. Movement is a crucial part of my being and a major contributing factor to my overall wellness.So, despite being a busy mama with a full time job, I made it work! So can you! If that means buying some dumbbells and working out at home so be it. I did that for a extended period of time. But, what you are really saying is that something else is more important than your health.

The rewards are tremendous.

Better health. Increased productivity. More self-confidence.

First of all...if your belly looks anything like this congrats. It's really a badge of honor. You cooked a little nugget in there.
It was stretched out and poked and prodded. But, how do you get it back into the shape you desire??

The one thing you will see that is lacking in most "mom pooches" is a lot of muscle tone.
When your abdominal wall is stretched to the max it loses it's elasticity.
Part of this is completely genetic. You have elastic skin or you don't.

In order to get it back you must rebuild that strength with resistance training. I have had a lot of clients that had that "loose" look.

We need to pull the abdomen back toward the spine.

[10/08/21]   The gym isnt ALWAYS about bigger muscles. For some it's about bigger confidence, self esteem, or an escape from pain. There's a million and one ways people can hurt in the world, but inside the gym you're invincible!!

Some of us don't go to the gym to be able to lift heavier weights, some of us are just trying to be strong enough to carry the weight of our own world in our shoulders and not fall.❤

[09/26/21]   I hate these flat belly diets! Can I realisticly give up coffee or tea (hot or iced) or a diet soda or a beer or wine forever; can I go without sugar or a glass of milk or no sodium... Sure, but why would I EVER do that?? Unless I'm competing, but That's a different story.
Facts show that any healthy eating program that promotes exercise, limits caloric consumption and includes healthy servings of fruits, vegetables, lean meats and good fats will promote weight loss. Don't buy into this bu****it!! Contrary to what you may have heard, no food by itself can burn body fat!!

The hardest part is deciphering between instant Gratification and long term success. Will skipping a workout be on right now? Sure ( sometimes you need to listen to your body) But how does it make you feel next week or that day. Well indulging in whatever you want make you happy now? Yep.
