Meet G! She’s been playing softball for 10 years and holds down Catcher & 3B for the Firebirds! ❤️‍🔥

🥎 Favorite thing about softball: Getting to play alongside her sister Maia…or throwing someone out at second! 😏

Favorite softball memory: Hitting her first home run!

Go to game day snack: Strawberries, edamame, Cheez-Its or a PB&J. Honestly… that’s a pretty solid lineup. 😂

Outside of softball: Hanging out with her family, building stuff, and doing her nails.

🎶 Fun facts about G: She sings, plays piano AND writes her own music! 🎤🎹 And she has a serious Lego flower addiction. 🌸😂

We’re so lucky to have this talented, creative girl on our team! 🥎

PLAYER SPOTLIGHT: EMMA #15

Next up in our Firebirds player introductions is Emma! ❤️

Emma has been playing softball for 5 years and plays shortstop, 2B, and the OF. Her favorite part of the game? The friendships she’s made along the way…we love that! 🥎

One of Emma’s favorite softball memories is scoring the tying run in the 16U States Championship game! Talk about a moment you don’t forget! 🔥

Her go to game day snack is a Z-bar, and when she’s not on the softball field, you’ll probably find her watching college basketball. 🏀

Something you probably wouldn’t guess about Emma? She’s a second degree black belt in Hapkido! 🥋 Yeah…we probably wouldn’t mess with her. 😂

And if her teammates had to describe her in one word, it would be SUPPORTIVE…clearly, we’ve got some pretty great teammates on this team! ❤️

First up in our Firebirds player introductions is Claire! ❤️

Claire has been playing softball for 10 years and can be found holding down 1B, 3B, or the OF. One of her favorite things about softball is the friendships she’s made along the way…and we think that says a lot about her! 🥎

Her favorite softball memory? Hitting TWO home runs in one day! 💣💣

When she’s not on the field, you’ll probably find Claire in Marching Band, and her go to game day snack is…watermelon! 🍉

Something you probably wouldn’t guess about Claire? She’s actually really good at painting! 🎨

🔥🥎 USA SWING FOR A CURE FINALISTS! 🥎🔥

After a tough day of pool play on Saturday, this team came back Sunday with an early start, a fresh mindset, and something to prove. They showed up and showed out, battling their way through bracket play and earning a spot in the Championship! 🏆

They fought for two hard-earned wins to get there and faced a very strong opponent in the final game. More important than the final score was the grit, resilience, and fight they showed to completely turn the weekend around.

Proud of this group for sticking together, competing for one another, and showing what can happen when you keep fighting. 🔥❤️💙

First Practice of the Season! 🥎💙

And just like that…we’re back! Our first practice of the season is officially in the books, and what a great way to start! 🥎

Although we had a smaller group than usual with so many families still enjoying their summer vacations, the girls who were there came ready to work, learn, and grow. They showed up with open minds, eager attitudes, and were incredibly receptive to coaching. That is exactly the kind of energy we love to see!

There was so much learning, encouragement, laughter, and bonding throughout practice. It was one of those practices where you leave feeling like, this is going to be a special season. ❤️

We’re so excited for what’s ahead and can’t wait to see this group grow together…not just as softball players, but as teammates and friends.

Season 2026…we’re ready for you! 🥎

✨ As this season marks the end of the Firebirds 16B Hieatzman team, we’d like to thank our coaches, players, families, and everyone who supported and followed us over the last year.

We wish each of our athletes and their families nothing but success and happiness in the next stage of their softball journey. 🤍❤️💙🥎
