Junior Lady Cougars Softball

Another day of softball in the books!!

Today both teams played double headers at our home Southview Varsity field.

JV Started off the day, as the last runners of the Glass City Marathon were running by. They ended up winning both games, bringing their record to 11-2 on the season!!

JV played 6 games this week, and out hit our opponents 43 to 16!! Great job girls!! Definitely team wins!

Varsity took the field after the JV girls, and split games with Evergreen. They hit an impressive .395 with an on base percentage of .540!! Way to bounce back game two!!

What a fun day!! These girls battled it out in the cold for 3 games and came away 3-0! Great hits, great catches, great pitching and a lot of laughs. These girls are so fun to coach. Looking forward to another big day tomorrow!

Home Run Alert!!!!!

Congratulations Aubree for her first over the fence bomb tonight!!!!

The Varsity girls came out 1-1 after two games today. The first game was close, with the team up North taking the lead late in the 3rd inning. The second game, the girls came out strong and didn’t waste any time pulling away.

Shout Outs:
- Madeline gave up only 2 hits today in the circle!!

- Emma racked up 7 strike outs against Delta!!

- Gabi, Payton and Kenley all batted 1.000 on the day!!

- Emma and Payton both had big home runs!!!

JV had a busy weekend at the field, coming home 3-1. Not only did the girls get a lot of reps in, they learned how to win and lose while being good sports.

Shout outs:
-Aubree and Gabriella both batted .800 on the weekend!!

-“Little Pipes” with a HUGE 3 run, home run!!

-Claire and Aubree combined for 21 strikeouts in the circle!!

Week one is officially in the books! Both teams played doubleheaders on the road today.

The Jr. Cougars JV team split their games in Whiteford, Michigan, finishing 1-1 after a cold morning gave way to warmer, but windy conditions.

The Jr. Cougars Varsity team secured 2 big wins in Otsego, enjoying temperatures in the high 60s, but maybe the caziest wind we’ve ever experienced on the field!

This weekend marks the beginning of the spring season for the Jr Lady Cougars. The 14U Varsity team will take the field with a double header against Otsego Knights Orange!
