This is MY journey. My goal is to help and inspire others who struggle with themselves and with staying consistent. 2021 Update:

Runner since May 2012. Lets Go!

Here I will document my journey of weight loss, weight maintenance and training for my second half marathon after two hip repair surgeries (the second having been done on June 19, 2020).

Happy Global Running Day! What better way to celebrate than a nightly 5k with friends!

This is how runners spend their birthday. Seeing how many loop you can get in 2 hours. We took it easy. Cold and windy but a fun morning ā£ļø

Medal Monday. Sometimes these are fought hard for while other times its all done in fun. Pushing isn’t always fun and sometimes it hurts. In the end we get stronger, both mentally and physically. Because when you’re done you just proved to yourself that you CAN do hard things! .and.macros

For the first time in my life I dont cringe at my photos or pick myself apart. I wish it didn’t take almost 44 years. Better late than never. Its ok to prioritize yourself and your health. Its ok to look at yourself and like the reflection looking back even if its not perfect bc let’s face it… no matter the work you put it, it will never be perfect. Love yourself ladies ā£ļø

I pulled off a 9 minute PR from last year and it was brutal. Gas pains the entire run made the last three miles excruciating. I was competing for the top ten females until the last mile and I just couldn’t hold on to it. But its done and I accomplished what i set out to so. Next up is the Lucifer’s Crossing 6.6 trail race on 5/31. .and.macros

Beautiful morning for a charity race! I didn’t expect to do as well as I did or the fact that I finally out raced Dave! I also didn’t expect to place 1st in my age group! When you work hard, take care of yourself and be consistent anything is possible and big things can happen! .and.macros
