FULTON RECAP:
We started the night with a car that handled really well, but unfortunately we were fighting a smoked motor from the drop of the green flag.
Starting 10th in the heat race, we made some good moves early and had a strong first lap, but we just didn’t have the horsepower needed to hold onto a transfer spot. That put us 8th for the consi.
Before the consi, we made a few quick adjustments to free the car up, and it was exactly what we needed—the car was the best it had been all night. Unfortunately, our luck ran out coming off Turn 2 when another car missed the bottom and hooked bumpers with the #10, bending our left-front shock.
After the restart, we lined up 13th and did everything we could to make the most of the damaged car. While working through traffic, we got tangled up with a slower car, resulting in a flat right-front tire that ended our night early.
Definitely not the result we wanted, but there were some positives to take away. The car showed speed, the setup changes worked, and we’ll regroup and assess our next steps.
At this time, it is undetermined when we’ll be back on the track. We’ll keep everyone updated as we work through the damage and make plans moving forward.
Thank you to everyone who supports our race team week in and week out. We appreciate
it more than you know.
