Many clients ask me what they should be feeling while doing ‘x’ (climbers-cough cough) activity.
On a scale of 0-10, 10 being the worst pain you’ve ever felt, 0 being nothing; stay within a 3-4 range. This means you are activating that injured muscle, but not so much so that you are causing further damage.

Happy Lunar New Year to those who celebrate! 🧧🐎
Lunar New Year overlaps with and this year, which means we, as healthcare providers/coaches/trainers have to change up our exercise prescription to match the energy input. All 3 holidays involve some dietary restrictions or changes, which means baselines can shift from performance to day to day activities.

Onsight PT offers rehab for canines or affectionately referred to as “doggy PT” 🐶!
Did you know dogs can get arthritis, too? A common thing that vets will say is “they can’t run, anymore” 😱.
Well, here are 4 foundational concepts from human exercise physiology that can help your pup return to activity without pain…
1️⃣ Don’t skip the warm-up. Try puppy pushups or step throughs to get them going for the day.
2️⃣ Relax tight muscles—it’s hard and painful to move when your muscles are tight. Help them out by massaging or stretching tight hip flexors.
3️⃣ Walk before running—moving slower is easier for your pup than dynamic, high impact activities. Slow it down!
4️⃣ Stay consistent. Cues and doing exercises consistently go a long way in rehab.
