We are excited to introduce the new Official Adna Pirate Wrestling community. We lost the login and admin info for our old page (this page) and decided it would be easier to just start fresh. Coach Craig Ferrier will continue to be the primary administrator and I will handle page management duties. We are excited for the coming year and hope you will join us in supporting our wonderful student athletes.

While me may have not as many wrestlers advancing to Day 2 tomorrow as we had hoped, APW had a great day in the dome today!!
Alex, Eli and Levi left it all on the mat, but were just short of making Saturday.
Jacob wrestled two fantastic matches and will be wrestling for his chance to make the state finals in the morning. Also advancting is Cohen, who lost his first match mat, but then won his second to advance to day two.
Jacob is guaranteed a top 6 medal, while Cohen needs one more win to secure his top 6 placing.
Tomorrow is another day, and we will be ready to battle!!

We had a great day of Regional wrestling at home on Saturday! We are advancing 5 to the Dome with 1 alternate. The following will be wrestling at State this Friday and Saturday.
Alex Richards, 5th at 106
Cohen Hartley, 5th at 126
Eli Wentzel, 3rd at 144
Levi Slape, 4th at 165
Jacob Price, 2nd at 175.
Kooper Moon, was 6th at 132 and will be going as an alternate.
A huge shout out to our all wrestling community that donated to the Hospitality room and helped in the concession stand. Thanks for all of your generosity and hard work.

Congratulations to our Middle School coach, JR Siperly for being named District 4 Middle School Coach of the Year. JR, along with assistants Casey Gelvin and Matthew Hart were instrumental in planning and hosting the first ever Middle School Rain Belt Championship.

A solid day on the mats for our Pirate wrestlers as we advance 7 to the Regional Tournament next Saturday.
Alex Richards -- 2nd at 106
Ryder Calhoun -- 3rd at 120
Cohen Hartley -- 4th at 126
Kooper Moon -- 4th at 132
Eli Wentzel -- 3rd at 144
Levi Slape -- 4th at 165
Jacob Price -- 2nd at 175.
While Royce Calhoun (126) and Preston Cardin (190) will not be advancing, they both battled hard and made us proud.

Good morning Adna Pirate Wrestling Community. As I posted earlier, Adna will be hosting our Regional tournament on February 10, and we are still looking for some help, specifically with the following:
Ticket Taker/Sellers
Concession Stand Workers
Hospitality Room Workers
Picture Taker for Mat Classic Programs
In addition, we are also hosting a hospitality room for coaches and tournament workers, and are looking for donations. Items would include breakfast foods, foods for a taco style lunch, as well as drinks and dessert items.
Please let me know if you are willing to donate either your time and/or food donations for the hospitality room. We are hoping to give our Region the best tournament of the year.

We finished our regular season on a high note at the Beach Brawl on Saturday in Ilwaco.
Alex Richards placed 3rd at 106, Kooper Moon placed 3rd at 132 , Eli Wentzel placed 4th at 144, and Jacob Price was crowned champion for the second week in a row at 175.
This was a great day of wrestling for us as we prepare for our District tournament in Kalama next Saturday.
Let's keep our momentum going APW!!!
Adna Pirate Wrestling will have the honor of hosting regionals on February 10 this year and we are going to need some help from our wrestling family. We will need to host a hospitality room for our coaches and workers, have concessions for the fans, as well as table help and ticket sellers. Please let us know if you are willing to help with your time or donate items.

We had a great day in Raymond at the Doug Makaiwi Tournament yesterday, and crowned our first champion of the season!
Jacob Price took 1st at 175, Levi Slape 2nd at 165, Kooper Moon earned a 3rd at 132, and the Calhoun twins, Ryder and Royce, placed 5th and 4th, respectively. Alex Richards also wrestled his way to a 4th place medal at 106.
This is the first tournament Royce has ever placed in, so way to go Royce!!
We are beginning to fire on all cylinders as the regular season comes to and end, and are looking forward to post season.
