Some of the biggest lessons in racing happen after the crash.
Watching a young racer climb out of a broken car with tears in their eyes, asking if it can be fixed so they can finish, is heartbreaking. They don’t see the damage—they just want another chance.
A broken race car may end today’s race, but it doesn’t end a dream. The greatest lesson we can teach these kids is that setbacks are temporary, resilience is earned, and champions are built by getting back up and racing another day.
🏁 The car can be repaired. The heart to keep chasing the dream is what truly matters.

Today was one for the history books for our team! We only ran qualifying and A-Mains, and it was a great day all around.

He laid down the fastest qualifying lap in Junior Novice, grabbing the top spot! His track record is still standing strong.
A-Main: P4 ➡️ 🥇
Re*****on has been making huge strides lately. He pulled off some clean, confident passes today, and it’s been awesome watching his racecraft improve. Advanced Novice might be right around the corner!
🏁 Maddox
Maddox qualified 3rd fastest in Senior Animal, and that car was absolutely hooked up. In LT160, he qualified 5th. We’re still chasing the setup in that class… but more on that below. 😏
A-Main Results:
• Senior Animal: P3 ➡️ P5
• LT160: P2 ➡️ P6
On top of the racing, today was a big day for the team. We picked up our new X-Wing from Pavelek Racing, and we can’t wait to get it on the track!
We also said goodbye to our Fanta Orange Nervo. It’s headed to an awesome family—Natasha Gibson, Joey Gibson, and Orin. We’re excited to watch Orin make some memories and race the wheels off that car! We will be transitioning the Lt160 engine into the X wing!
As always, a huge thank you to Pete Hawkins for building incredible engines and always being willing to share his knowledge and advice. There’s nobody better!

Ever since we listed our Large Nervo for sale, we’ve been getting a lot of messages asking what’s going on.
Since we got into quarter midget racing, the X Wing chassis has always caught our attention. Their aggressive left-side lean is designed to help maximize left-side weight, and the more we’ve watched them this season, the more impressed we’ve been with their performance.
So, we’re excited to announce that Maddox will be making the switch from his Nervo G17s to two Large X Wings! 🏁
Re*****on will continue racing our two Medium Nervo G17s.
We’re excited for this next chapter and can’t wait to get these cars on the track!

Last Sunday at the Magma Mayhem 100 Castle Rock Quarter Midget Club– Day 2 Recap! 🏁
Day 2 was all about the A Mains, and Maddox was back on track competing in both Senior Animal and Light 160.
A Main Results:
🏎️ Senior Animal: P3 ➡️ P3
🏎️ Light 160: P6 ➡️ P5
Day 2 brought more valuable experience as we continue learning what both cars need and how to get the most out of them. Every lap gives us more data, more confidence, and another opportunity to improve. We’re taking what we’ve learned from this weekend and using it to keep building toward the next race.
A huge thank you to Pavelek Racing for letting Maddox test drive an X-Wing after the events. He had an absolute blast behind the wheel, and we truly appreciate the opportunity, your hospitality, and your support!

Last Saturday at the Magma Mayhem 100 Castle Rock Quarter Midget Club– Day 1 Recap! 🏁
Maddox took on both Senior Animal and Light 160, and we came away with a lot of valuable seat time and lessons learned.

This weekend has taught us even more about both cars. We’re still working on getting them dialed in while helping our driver rebuild confidence one lap at a time. Every race is another opportunity to learn, improve, and come back stronger.

Credit where credit is due.
This past weekend we attended Magma Mayhem 100 at the Castle Rock Quarter Midget Club and it exceeded every expectation. Aside from the Las Vegas Winter Nationals last year, this was hands down the best quarter midget event we’ve ever been to.
From the incredibly welcoming club members, to the carnival games, kid-focused activities, ice cream after the races, the Saturday night potluck, and breaking bread with everyone—it was obvious how much heart and effort went into making this event special. And the racing itself was outstanding. We could go on and on.
For such a young club, they’re doing all the right things to build something special and create an experience that families will remember.
A huge thank you to everyone at CRQMC for putting on such an incredible event. You made an unforgettable weekend for our family and so many others. We can’t wait to come back!
