Moon Ruby Farm Moon Ruby Farm, located in the beautiful Rogue River valley of southern Oregon, is a small place of wide-eyed and wild-hearted wonder.

Like most farms, the humans are out-numbered by other animals, and we pride ourselves on taking good care of one another. Some of us are really silly and some quite somber. Some of us are very smart, while some of us are far too busy with food and attention-seeking to really care. Some of us are unflappable, patiently watching others worry about every breeze, fly or leaf that passes by. Like everyone else, we spin in new directions every day--be they beautiful or ugly, simple or difficult, heart-warming or downright life-changing.

​So I'm here to share what I've learned thus far, and to gush and gab unabashedly about the wonderful Nigerian Dwarf goat, about the silly little spoiled hens who like to go on strike from their cushy jobs at egg-laying HQ, about the the ongoing training of a rescued filly and the joy of raising a rare breed of pig and all the fun learning projects yet to come!

Hey farm friends! Can anyone lend me a friendly wether or doe for a few months? Looking for a healthy companion Nigerian Dwarf for my doe asap. Starfire is a very sweet, calm 13-year-old, long retired from kidding but showing no signs of slowing down otherwise. She will soon be alone, as her sole remaining herdmate and friend is not going to be around much longer due to old age. 🥺

Very safe farm with a barn, good hay and grazing, no other goats or sheep. I’m happy to do all shots, dewormer, hoof trims, etc. (you may know I’ve been doing this for ages) while here. She’s been here her whole life, so I don’t want her to have to endure the stress of relocating.

A long overdue thank-you to the best intern (and new friend) I could have hoped for! Sophia — bright, strong and brave — helped me with everything from a pushy ram to horses with some tough issues (not to mention the usual gruntwork) and all with a smile! You’ll go far with that brain and heart, girl! 🙏🤩☺️
