We are so excited to shine a spotlight on one of our most meaningful partnerships: the Boys and Girls Club of the Big Bend!

For decades, the Boys and Girls Club of the Big Bend has been a trusted anchor for youth and families across our region, providing safe spaces, mentorship, educational support, and the kind of consistent presence that changes the trajectory of a child’s life. Their commitment to cultivating confidence and character in young people aligns deeply with everything we are building at the Charlie Ward Champions Ranch.

If you haven’t heard, please share in the excitement that the first freestanding Capital City Flagship Boys and Girls Club in Florida’s state capital will call Champions Ranch home. That means youth who are memebrs of the Big Bend Boys and Girls Club will have direct access to the Champions Ranch campus, and the Club will serve as a vital partner in making sure transportation and access are never barriers to a child’s development.

This is what Better Together looks like in action. Two organizations, one shared mission: making sure every young person in our community has the support, the space, and the opportunity to become a champion.

We are honored to have the Boys and Girls Club of the Big Bend on this journey with us.

This Feature Friday Partner Spotlight is a little late, but too good not to share! It is one that is personal to us.

Tally Robotics is bringing world-class STEM and robotics education to Tallahassee, and beginning right here at the Charlie Ward Champions Ranch. Their mission aligns directly with our belief that every child in this community deserves access to the kind of opportunities that expand their possibilities and open doors they did not even know existed.

We also have a little extra pride in this one. Our own Marketing and Communications Intern, Tyson Terry, is a Tally Robotics student and a member of Robotics Team Legacy, which qualified for the FIRST Tech Challenge World Championship this year. Tyson competed against hundreds of teams from across the globe, right here representing Tallahassee. And this fall he heads to Morehouse College to study Mechanical Engineering.

That is exactly what we are building at Champions Ranch. Not just programs. Pathways.

Tally Robotics will be on campus introducing more young people to coding, engineering, and the kind of problem-solving that builds futures. We are honored to partner with them and to keep proving that south Tallahassee is a place where big things happen.

Feature Friday | Meet Our Partner: TLH Reckoning

We are thrilled to introduce one of our newest partners on the journey: the Tallahassee Reckoning! Founded by the incredible Dr. Ashlee Fontes, the Reckoning is doing something truly historic right here in the capital city: building Tallahassee's first professional women's soccer franchise from the ground up.

Dr. Fontes launched the Reckoning with a clear vision: to create a platform for elite women athletes, connect young girls to aspirational role models, and prove that professional women's sports belong in Tallahassee. From developing season-ticket holders and corporate sponsors to cultivating a fan base that had never had a team to root for, her leadership is both pioneering and purpose-driven.

At the Charlie Ward Champions Ranch, we believe in the power of sports to transform lives, and the Reckoning embodies that mission beautifully. When girls in our community see women competing at the highest level right in their backyard, something shifts. Possibility becomes personal.

We are honored to walk alongside Dr. Fontes and the entire Reckoning family as we build a community where every girl knows she belongs in the game.

Did you know that two of Tallahassee’s greatest sports legends are now teammates in the community?
Charlie Ward and Warrick Dunn ran routes together at FSU. Now they are running toward healthier families, stronger neighborhoods, and brighter futures for our kids.
This Saturday, June 27, join Champions Ranch “Plant Your Path to Wellness” wellness day hosted by Warrick’s SCULPT Brand of Health and Wellness at the Lawrence-Gregory Community Center. Doors open at 11am and close at 4pm. Everything is free.
Coach from Champions Ranch will be there leading fitness fun and talking with young people about the FIFA World Cup right here in our region. The World Cup is the kind of global moment that makes a child believe anything is possible.
Come as a family. Come with your neighbors. Come ready to be inspired.

What a morning at Four Oaks Park.
Over 70 young athletes showed up ready to compete at the official MLB Pitch, Hit & Run competition and our team of 25 plus Champions Ranch volunteers showed up ready to serve. That is what this community is made of.

Thank you to Cindy and the entire Tallahassee Parks and Recreation team for your leadership and for trusting us to be part of this. Thank you to WCTV for coming out to highlight our winners and share this story with Tallahassee. And thank you to every family and young athlete who came out and gave it everything they had on that field.

Did we hit every beat perfectly from the jump? No. But we found our groove and by the end it was nothing short of an amazing day. That is what happens when good people come together for a good cause.
2027 is going to be bigger and better. We are just getting started.

Champions Ranch is proud to support the City of Tallahassee Parks, Recreation & Neighborhood Affairs Department as a volunteer partner for a FREE MLB Pitch, Hit & Run event where YOUR CHILD could earn a spot to compete at the 2026 World Series Championship.
Boys and girls ages 7-14 will be tested on real baseball and softball skills, pitching, hitting, and running, with the chance to advance from our local event all the way to the national stage.
