Tournament Schedule is Here 🏴☠️🏐
Good luck to all of our TUVA teams competing this weekend at the Buccaneer Bash! We’re excited to see our athletes take the court, compete together, and continue growing as teammates and individuals.
🚨 Important Reminder: This tournament is being held at three different locations:
• Wiregrass Ranch Sports Campus
• USF Recreation Center
• Cypress Creek Middle School
Please be sure to verify your team's playing location and arrival time with your coach before heading out for the weekend.
This weekend, we also want to take a moment to honor the memory of Madelyn Briggs. 💛🌈
We would love for athletes, coaches, and families to wear ribbons of any color throughout the tournament. As Madelyn’s mother shared:
"Madelyn was an artist, so she loved all colors and didn’t use one particular color more than another. She was also so very accepting and loving to everyone. A rainbow represents her best."
Whether it's a ribbon on your backpack, water bottle, ponytail, wrist, or gear bag, we invite our TUVA family to join us in celebrating the kindness, creativity, and love that Madelyn brought to those around her.
You are loved. You matter. And Madelyn will always be part of our volleyball family. ❤️🌈

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of one of our own, Madelyn Briggs.
Madelyn has been a part of the Tampa United family since she was 11 years old. Over the years, we had the privilege of watching her grow into an incredible young woman. She was kind, caring, determined, creative, and someone who made those around her feel seen and valued. Her smile, spirit, and presence touched countless teammates, coaches, and families throughout our club.
Madelyn loved volleyball. She was a dedicated teammate, a fierce competitor, and a friend to so many. The impact she made on our community will never be forgotten.
In honor of Madelyn, our teams will be wearing rainbow ribbons this weekend. Her mother shared that Madelyn was an artist who loved all colors and was accepting and loving to everyone she met. Because of that, a rainbow feels like the perfect representation of who she was—a bright light who brought beauty, kindness, and color into the lives of those around her.
Our hearts are with the Briggs family, her teammates, friends, coaches, and everyone who knew and loved her.
We invite anyone whose life was touched by Madelyn to share memories, stories, and photos through the memorial link in our bio. Together, we can celebrate her life and preserve the memories that meant so much to all of us.
Madelyn will forever be a part of the TUVA family.
And to every athlete, teammate, friend, and family member reading this: you are loved, you are valued, and you matter. Always.
Rest peacefully, Madelyn. You will be forever loved, forever missed, and forever remembered. ❤️🏐🌈

FOPO — Fear Of People’s Opinions.
Something a lot of athletes deal with but don’t always talk about.
The pressure to not mess up.
The fear of being judged.
The worry about what coaches, teammates, parents, or social media might think.
But growth starts when you stop playing scared and start trusting yourself more.
You don’t have to be perfect to improve.
You just have to keep showing up, learning, and being confident in who you are becoming 🤍
